Hello. I'm new to vaping. I smoked for about 12 years. I quit in 1996 because I just felt crappy all the time. I loved smoking, especially with my coffee in the morning. I have missed that the most. So, a few years back I tried smoking cigars. I liked flavored ones, but the not inhaling I didn't like & they are just too expensive of a habit. So I decided to try E cigarettes with no nicotine since I've been off of it for so long. I bought a Prime Vapor starter kit and ordered the Taramisu 0mg. nicotine & really like them except they kind of make me feel light headed. I just started on Monday & I only take about 4-6 drags in an hour & I don't do it all day long, but in the morning with my coffee, here & there throughout the day & in the evening. I don't chain vape. I always feel a bit light headed for a while. Almost like I'm slightly high. Is this normal? I don't feel sick or anything like that. Just sort of light headed. Could it be the VG & if so will it subside after i get used to it? I don't want to go with the PG based carts. Thanks in advance.

Short of testing to see if maybe your 0 nic might actually contain nicotine maybe try a different inhale technique. In fact don't inhale into your lungs just into your mouth and puff out. If you still get light headed it might contain nicotine.

Another thing to maybe try is Walmart carries VG labeled Humco. Mix 5 ml with about 1 ml of distilled water and test vape to see if you get light headed. If you don't that rules out VG and points toward something else.

Thanks for the reply. I'll try not inhaling, but I do enjoying inhaling. The cartridges I bought are suppose to be 0mg nicotine and are labeled as such, but I'm sure they could've been labeled wrong. I ordered a different flavor, Triple Mint because I miss menthol, which will be here on Monday. I'll see if they do the same thing. Also, I am new to this so I just have the disposable cartridges. How would I use my own solution?

No, it's not normal. The only thing in electronic cigarettes that has any real potential to make you light-headed is nicotine.
I suppose it is in the range of possibility that a significant allergic reaction to PG or even VG could MAYBE make you a little light-headed, but I sort of doubt it.

You could buy blank cartomizers or use one that you have until it doesn't produce much vapor anymore clean it out and refill it with your own liquid. Pbusardo has a YouTube video that shows how to clean and refill cartomizers. He probably also has it posted on his website tasteyourjuice.

Thanks for the info. I will try that if the ones I'm getting Monday do that too.

I don't feel too light headed, just a little off. I don't feel like I'm gonna pass out or anything like that. I thought maybe it was just being new to vaping maybe, but I didn't read anywhere that anyone else felt like that.

Here are my thoughts. Now this is just a guess. I received my Triple Mint cartos yesterday. Wow, I love them. I get much more vapor and flavor from them than the Tarimisu cartos & I don't get light headed. I think I just had a faulty carto & had to draw harder on it & that's what was making me sort of light headed. Tried a different Tarimisu carto & it produced more vapor & flavor & I didn't get light headed.

Glad you figured it out. It's great when you find a flavor you love. Happy vaping!

Thank you! I'm so pleased with the Triple Mint flavor because now I feel like I'm getting that throat hit that I wasn't getting & it's great that it's 0 nicotine. I think I'll be vaping a lot more than I ever smoked. Hope that's not a bad thing. Oh well. It's much better than tobacco. I'm a happy camper.

Maybe you are sucking too hard? My first kit, a cheap Chinese piece of xxxx that lasted 4 days, had me sucking like I was trying drain the ocean with a straw! The resulting headrush was not pleasant. I just got a new decent kit and the difference is unreal. Vaping isn't like smoking analogs - you don't get more smoke/vape the harder you draw. The vape is there, a light drag is all that should be required.

I also am getting the " slightly off " feeling in my head. Not bad, but noticeable. It doesn't seem to be something that would affect me driving my truck or operating heavy machinery at work. I suspect that my issue is too much nicotine. I may be wrong but I am liking the flavor so much I am vaping a lot. I did just order some liquid online last nite and reduced the amount of nicotine. I will see if that helps.

and breathing/drawing technique used :) (which isn't an ingredient "in" an ecig but definitely a part of using an ecig)

Hey guys! I can also report that I got the light-headed feeling with a 0mg juice. I have the eGo-T. It definitely wasn't nicotine since it's 0mg. I suppose I might have sucked on it a bit hard or too quickly between draws, but I'm kinda curious if there is something else in it that i'm reacting to. Since the OP said he didn't have it when he changed the carto, maybe mine is faulty or the juice is bad. I dunno. I'll try drawing on it easier and see if it still happens.
