New to Vaping: Question about EGO-C

Okay, so somebody gave me an ego-C about a month ago. I just started using it about a week ago and I love it. I'll never smoke a cigarette again. I'm basically a newbie. I came to this site to learn what a cartomizer is, what a glassomizer is... And am I holding one in my hand right now?

Also, if anyone can please answer this question:

I never want to run out of batteries or juice when I leave the house. Since this ego was given to me, I don't have a manual. How many tokes can I expect from a full charge?

I have gone for as long as 8 hours with mine. It depends on your usage, but so far I always end up charging it before I reach the limit.

My wife goes all day on her ego but we both have extra's so we never have an excuse to buy analogs (cigs). I usually have 2 or 3 egos with tanks in my office so I have a varity of flavors throughout the day. Always charge them overnight while sleeping.

I would get more than one of everything you normally use. Extra eGo batt, extra Carto/Clearo....

It depends on the size. A 650 MAH battery lasts me 3 to 4 hours whereas a 900 MAH battery lasts me pretty much all day. Some people take bigger puffs. Some people use lower ohms which eats batteries faster. The general rule is to have at least two charged devices before you leave the house, extra tanks, cartos, atomizers, etc,. and extra juice. That way you don't have to worry about running out.

So that's what I was afraid of. I figured I would have to buy some new equipment as backups. Do these things break a lot?

I'm just wondering why- when I go to a website- I see all of these "kits" which basically look like "extra parts."

Is that because they break a lot? Or just because people don't want to be left without, so they carry extra batteries?

None of my stuff has broken on it's own, usually from me dropping it. Extras are for you to have "just in case". You will read in this forum that most people have a main device followed by several back-up devices. This way if something does happen then you have something to fall back on instead of having to go get another pack of stinkies.

I tend to burn out my only carto , drop something, leave my juice bottle at my desk, forget to charge something, etc. I take extras because I'm clumsy and forgetful. My devices work just fine until I kill them.

I've had my Joyetech Ego C kit for about 3 weeks - I was never all that happy with the atomizer and eGo-C Cartridges. For me the cartridges just didn't hold enough juice and were "messy". I had ordered a Kanger evod when I ordered the kit and really liked the evod - but after a couple weeks had trouble with it leaking (which I think was due in part to putting mint liquid in the plastic tank). Just today I received the Joyetech Ego CC Atomizer (Changeable clearomizer) as well as a Kanger protank 2 mini - both fit the Ego batteries and look really nice. I have to say I really like the CC Atomizer - I also like the protank mini. My only issue thus far with the CC atomizer is that it has a plastic tank - for the price it should have a glass tank. I love the feel of the CC and will use it a lot, I just can't put all juice in it for fear of the juice messing up the tank - so if I could only get one, I would get the protank mini.

I am a rookie but I love my evod bcc tank and sweet tart juice!
I use a 900mAH cheapo batt and it lasts a long time. I feel like a wimp only using 3/4 of a tank per day.
I would love to get a protank but like wow they are pricey.
I tried the chocolate chip mint flavor from lava vapes but it turned my stomach.

My 900mAH has lasted me 36 hours on the charge it had when I opened the package. I have been using it rather heavy today. Just for reference, I was a pack a day smoker.

Vaporbeast.com has a nice ego twist kit for $69...2 batts, 2 tanks and chargers for house and usb. Twist will let you go up to 4.8 volts..

EGo batteries are not the toughest batts you can buy. They will not break by themselves though, you have to drop one or bend it with a clearo/carto on it. IMO you need at least two batts so you can charge one while vaping the other. Now, if you break one you're down to one left, so for me the minimum is three. I also used to like to switch flavors a lot through the day so I typically had all three going at once with clearos on each. Clearos/cartos or whatever you have on the battery can fail also, so it's a god idea to have spares. They will also wear out and it can happen that a few wear out at close to the same time leaving you with nothing to vape.

Having backups for your backups is a good rule of thumb, but don't get carried away at first. Your taste in gear might well change over time as you get more experienced.
