Another vote for the Kanger Evod starter kit. It is simple, reliable, and easy to use for a beginner. I started with it, and stopped smoking 2 packs a day the day I started using it.

Here is a link to a reliable vendor with free shipping. If you use the code ECF at checkout, you get 10% off, making it about $30. It comes with everything you need to get started except the juice:

Kanger EVOD eGo Full Kit - Vaping Me

Congratulations on making this good decision for yourself. vaping is a fun adventure, and you will be happy you got into it.

Start with Halo starter kit. Good quality batts and carts. Lots of flavors. You should know that Halo flavors emit a noticeable smell when vaped into the air. I tried 3-4 "top rated" e-cig companies and hated them all. I finally settled on Apollo E-cigs (extreme batts and prefilled carts). Apollo has great quality (made in the USA), good prices, fast shipping, and terrific customer service!

I bought an Innokin from my local shop it was great until it self destructed three weeks later! One of the batteries stripped and the other came unglued. Innokin has so many loopholes it's impossible to get a refund or replacement it seems unless you ordered from them. Otherwise they will tell you it's a fake. The local shop only had a 14 day warranty so that is a no go. I purchased a kanger evod for my stripped tank but I don't care for it. It doesn't offer the same taste as the clearos did. I'm thinking of buying a Halo Triton when I have the spare cash.

Twenty different opinions? More like 40, and all have their justifications. I started with a Halo G6 and was very happy with it for six months or so, but if you were a heavy smoker, you would be changing batteries a lot. I now have a Provari Mini, but if someone had insisted that I start with that, let alone a mech mod, I would have thrown up my hands in despair. There IS a learning curve.

THat being said, don't get the very cheapest option; quality varies a lot. And realize that this is a journey, and you will change your perception of what you want along the way. Happy vaping!

I was introduced to e-cigs by a friend who had an egoc-twist.

So I bought the kit which came with two batteries, two clearos, a charger, and a bottle of juice.

I was told to try 24mg nico as I was a two pack a day smoker of marlboro reds.

This was WAY WAY to high. Along with the ego's not producing the hit or vapor I wanted.

I jumped right in and ordered a SmokTech Smooth and a set of 18650 batteries.

Once you go mechanical you wont go back. I love it and vape every day toning it down to 6mg nic content during the day and during tv and such at home I use 0 for the flavor.

It is really all up to you but I personally love my mechs

Hello everyone,

After deciding to call it quits with cigarettes, as my habit progressed to two packs a day. I am making the switch to vaping. I bought a starter e-cig kit from a local tobacco store, but am looking to upgrade to something better quality-wise.

I am looking for any suggestions of starter kits to buy, lets just assume that there is no price range; and anything would work.
Thank you in advance,
-Mike

What was the starter kit?
2 ce4 tanks and 2 batteries?

An EVOD kit is a good starter.

Once you are happy with that, the evod is plastic, so you might want to get a good glass tank; the miniprotank2 is the upgrade:

Can be disassembled and soaked for cleaning.

For power, the MVP2 battery is the best buy.
