Smoked 1.5-2.5 packs a day for 25 years. My daughter introduced my wife and I to her eGo-t with CE4 clearomizer filled with sour apple 18mg e-juice a few weeks ago. We decided to give it shot on our own, and each of us bought a starter kit with single 1100mAh batts, CE4, carrying case, etc. Boy, do I wish we had found this site first! We overpaid by about $15 each kit. Oh, well...Lesson learned.

So, after all those years on analog, I began the vaping on the 25th of last month. Now, my wife and I have RYO'd for the last couple of years, and have a few machines and other items. I bought a small bag of tobacco, just in case this didn't take like I hoped for me, and a larger bag for my wife, because she drags her feet on everything..LOL. I'm happy to say that since the 25th, I've smoked only 1 pack of analogs...well, 15 sticks, since the pack still has 5 left. Yesterday morning, I took one hit from one, and snuffed it out. My wife is still on the analogs, but considerably less now.

With only 2 batteries between us, I decided we needed to have back-ups, because I'm vaping like a dragon right now. I made an order yesterday for another eGo-T for her, and an eGo-C Twist for me. She's happy with what she has, and I like to tinker with things.

I'm hoping to eventually make my own mod. I can't imagine that it's too hard. I have the machinery in my shop (28 years as a toolmaker, now a gunsmith) and have more than enough electronic experience to get myself in trouble. By that, I mean that in addition to being a toolmaker for all those years, I designed and built automation equipment. See? I can really get myself in trouble. LOL

This new way to relax could be exciting for me...and nerve wracking for my wife.

I've already got the needed connection for e-juice, so I'm good there. My query is headed more in the direction of this...What is everyone's favorite starter set-up?

I started on a little 900 mag ego (not a twist) and loved it but real quick needed more. Got a Vision Spinner after that and am pretty happy with that. Started with t2's (for topper) and have now gone into mini protanks and am pretty happy with that.
I want a Mod, also want a Vamo.
Fairly new at this and not sure why one is different than the other

The battery choices seem fine for you for awhile. The trick is finding a good topper. You'll probably want to move on from the C#4's.

I just ordered a 10 pack of CE5+ Clearomizers. I'm going to play around with those for awhile, until it's time to upgrade. I'm on my second CE4. My last one seems to have started fading off after a week's use. I was still getting vapor, but it was missing the throat hit I crave. Replaced the top and back to bliss.

hello there! i started out with a vision spinner with a Kanger protank 2. worked alright for a while, but i found i was still smoking occasionally. i just switched to a mech mod K100 with a nimbus atomizer. wow! the flavor!!! now i just need to get myself educated on making my own coils and all that other fun stuff. vaping feels slightly overwhelming with all the terms and mods and stuff, but i'm sure i'll figure it out sooner or later.

Stringplucker, my dad was a tool & die maker and a machinest on destroyers and aircraft carriers. Our family joke was not to ask him the time 'cause he'd explain how the clock was built. Vaping came 20 years too late. He would have loved to tinker around and make his own mods

I started, after some research, on the MVP version 1, 8 mos ago tomorrow. I loved it. Still have it and use it even tho I've gotten several ProVari's since. The reason I got it was I was a 2+ PAD 53 yr smoker and was worried about battery life. I was worried about this "box mod" and the size of it, but found it to be very comfortable to use and smaller than it looks in pictures......more like the 100's sized pack of cigs.

Congrats to both you and wife on your start of your vaping journey. It's really a cool place to be and right up your alley! :thumb:
