New to vaping

Hi all, thought i would say a quick hello, my names Martin, as today is stoptober, i thought i would try and stop smoking baccie, i must stress, this wasnt a snap desicion i made this morning, my partner was diagnosed with breat cancer in April this year, and for the sake of both of us, i decided to try and stop back then, however it has taken this long, for my resolve to kick in

Any way, long story short, my eyes were opened to the world of vaping, and thought this might be an ideal way of kicking the smokes, but still enjoy the nicotine hit, with my morning cuppa, hence yesterday i picked up an E-Lites starter kit, as its my first kit, i have nothing to compare it against, but it certainly hit the spot this morning, i would like a kit than i can refill, as i dont fancy paying £7 every other day on cartridges, as im guessing the sales blurb over sells the capacity of the carts

Hence il will be browsing the forum over the coming days, and i dare say, will have a few questions to throw your way

The e-lites really are expensive & the tiny ciggie lookalike batteries need recharging so often. However, you can refill the cartomisers with any e-liquid of your choice. You just need to remove the bung on the mouth end & drip juice into the wadding inside.

You would do far better though, buying another type of e-cig - one that doesn;t look anything like a real ciggy. as far as cartos go I would look in to the vivi nova min or the vivi nova mega ill give you a link to both to make it easy for you. there cheap hold alot of ejuice and you can buy replaceable heads for like $2.50 and last about 2 weeks to a month. they make you juice taste great and it come with 3 heads so you can test and find out witch one suites you best. come with 1.8 ohm 2.4 ohm and 2.8 ohm heads. then mega is $12.49 and then mini witch is the same size as the battery is $11.99. an they work great. also if you want to really save cash you can rebuild them really cheap vs buying new heads. If your looking for a nice VV device that you can adjust to your own setting then I would suggest the Kgo VV 650 mah. there are alot of reason that it's is a good starter vv device. Welcome to ECF and glad to hear your vaping experience has gotten off to a promising, albeit expensive, start. I was able to quit with the expensive pre-filled cartomizers on a cigalike but moved on within a week to variable voltage batteries.

I'm so sorry to hear about your partner's breast cancer diagnosis. Sending get well wishes your partner's way.

Hello and welcome! It's been just a week since I put down my analogs...I've had my moments to be sure, but vaping is really helping me kick those things to the curb. I've found that each day gets a little easier and I'm not thinking about the analogs as much anymore. To boot, I' already feeling many of the benefits of being smoke free. I haven't felt this good in years, and it's only been a week.

well, i ditched the e-lite today, and bought a Tornado T from Totally Wicked, it vapes yen times better than the E-lite, however the supplied tobaco juice tastes vile

Just to let you know that the Tornado is a rebranded ego & you can buy supplies much cheaper from the vendors on the list I linked to The T type tank/atomiser system is known to leak & have wicking problems so you would do better to buy some cartomisers or clearomisers to use with your ego (Tornado) battery
