Hi Guys and Dolls

I am a new member here and a renewed vaper.

I had been smoking for about 25 years when I decided to try and quit, we had our first baby on the way, the time seemed right.

Anyway, I started vaping about 4+ years ago but, here in the UK, it was a fairly new method of assisting those trying to quit smoking analogues. I had previously tried patches, gum, inhalers, all to no effect other than making me feel ill for the most part.

The hardware was not very good back then or at least info on getting good e-cigs/mods etc was not too good. At least that was my experience.

Anyhow, whether it was due to my not liking the hardware, having to change/charge batteries, the little drip tip cartridges, etc I fell off the wagon after a couple of months.

Recently I was persuaded to try again. Stoptober was coming up (October in the UK is made a big stop smoking campaign. called Stoptober).

After looking on the net I found that "the hardware" mods etc had come a long way since the last time I looked in it.

I decided to grab myself a Inokin MVP 2, manily due to the Battery Life. I also got a few iClear 30's and several bttles of juice.

I must say, it felt really good. The first few mornings were hard for me, but the MVP quelled my cravings.

2 Weeks on now and I only get a slight craving in the morning and after meas generally now.

I have now got a new ProVari Mini, a Prive tank (on the way) and have been dabbling with Boge Carto's and also rewicking a DDA I picked up (purely for testing new juice flavours I am starting to mix myself).

I am determined to kick the nasty "analogue" habit this time, once and for all.

I totally understand where you are coming from. I started vaping in 2009 as well and was using a Joye 510 and the DSE-901, although they worked well the battery life and small juice capacity was a huge pain in the ..... I had a small case I kept with me that contained at least 6 batteries and some juice for when I was at work, it was challenging but somehow I made it work. Back then you had about 5 choices to choose from other then the knock-offs that were out there, now its a completely different story. The e-cig industry as a whole has exploded to the point that if you havent been around the whole time it could be extremely confusing. I can only imagine how people new to vaping must feel because of the amount of products out there it can be hard to know where to start and what products are good and worth the money. Anyways, I am glad your back in it now and it sounds like you have made some really good choices on the devices you have purchased starting out. Good luck and welcome back!!

Good luck on your mission to stop consuming cigarettes. It is amazing how much the e-smoking tech has changed. I too first tried things in 2009 with a Joye 510 and the atomizer/drip cartridge setup. Those pesky things were such a pain. Current technology and juice is just so much better now! I sure am glad I got a cold a month ago that let me back to this stuff.

Congrats!! Switching over to a safer alternative is always a smart choice, no matter the product, and the eCig is the greatest miracle in decades, allowing us to continue puffing until the day we decide to switch to the next step, of zero nicotine and then if we choose, on to the next step of no hand to mouth habit as well. It's so fantastic to have safer choices, to suit our individual needs or goals.
Personally, I loved the act of smoking and did t really want to quit, but knew I should, and therefore I tried for over 40 years to do so. Epic fails. When I tried the ecig, I discovered I enjoyed the Flavors so much, I'd forget about lighting up a real one! How awesome is that.
Enjoy your journey, relax, and buy lots of sample Flavors til you too one day realize you've vaped and vaped and never lit up!! Not once!!
