So, new to this whole new vaping trend, starting only about 2 weeks ago, my current setup being a protank 3 w/ a ego-C Twist 650 mAh battery but i started out with an evod. Well, I'm still kinda weening off of cigarettes (going from 1 1/2 pack of newports to about maybe 1 -2 singles around company) and was trying to see if there are any tips or suggestions any of y'all would recommend or what y'all think about my setup...I'm currently vaping straight menthol 18 MG Nic in it and started trying out this new flavor from Vixen Vapors called zombie-b-gone 18 MG Nic.

I love my MVP 2!! I use an ego on a lanyard or a itazte vv v3 when I'm on the go during the day with an aspire et-mini BDC. Because it's polycarbonate I have to be careful with juices but at night or going out fancy like (lol) I take my MVP 2 with my Pyrex aspire davide BDC. I may move to the VTR some day when I decide to fork over the bucks. That or the iCool seem to be pretty popular around my area. My evod clearomizer didn't last long and I had problems with my protank 2 so I've left Kanger in my rear view mirror and donated my equipment to my daughter who loves them. To each their own :)

Forgot to add that I hope once you find the set up you like that it'll probably remove that daily craving for an analog. The hardest thing for me was my morning coffee ritual so I actually bought the cigarette looking device (like a njoy but not that brand). I went with straight tobacco flavor for it and it only. I can happily say I've never smoked a cigarette again. It gave me that fix I was looking for. That may work for you too but everyone is different. I smoked Marlboro lights for decades. The flavor I found was so close that when I had the craving that was what I used. Other than that I'm primarily a Boba's Bounty or clove vaper. Enchanted isn't bad either. I mix it up with my tobacco with coffee, my clove for work, and my. Boba's for everything else. Now I crave Boba's after a dinner instead of a cigarette, lol

Good luck :))

you can get an MVP for 50 local my place or a VTR for 70 without batteries, which i think is better since you can swap out batteries when it dies when and keep on going when the mvp dies lol. I belive they both provide the same output when time comes to talk

I agree about the VTE. I got my MVP2 for $43 on eBay and found a full VTR set up including 2 batteries and charger for $93 on eBay. I think the VTR is next unless I get lucky enough to win that copperhead they're giving away on here. Lol

Your setup gear is fine. Your nicotine strength is appropriate.

Your Protank will need replacement coil heads for when your flavors start to taste muted or burnt, or when the vapor production falls off. These should be available from where you purchased your Protank, or can be ordered online from most e-cig vendor websites, or local B&M vape shops. Cost is around $3 each. Expect to change out new coil heads every 1 - 3 weeks.

Have a backup for every part of your setup. You can't vape if you don't have a charged battery, a working tank, or no juice. Don't give yourself an excuse to buy more cigarettes because you can't vape.

YouTube will become your friend and educational resource. Do searches for whatever equipment you may have a question about. PBusardo is a well-known reviewer of e-cigarette gear and juice flavors.

You may find it necessary to experiment with different types of clearomizers/clearotanks should you find the Protank not to be to your liking. Preference from one model to another varies from one vaper to another.

Experimenting with different e-liquid flavors makes vaping fun. The suggestion for sample packs from different vendors that offer them is a good one; you won't waste money on larger bottles of juice that you may end up not liking. If there are local vape shops which offer a juice tasting bar/station, take advantage of this to sample before you buy.

Know that most of the nicotine in vapor is absorbed in the mouth, throat, and nasal passageways, not in the lungs. Your vape technique may need to be different than your smoking technique. Imagine sucking on a straw in a thick milkshake. Use your cheek muscles to draw in a mouthful of vapor, hold it for a second, then inhale. Long, gentle draws are better than short hard draws.

Drink plenty of water; e-liquids can dehydrate you slightly, and a dry mouth will affect your ability to taste your flavors. Exhale some of your vapor through your nose, as your sense of smell assists your sense of taste. Your sense of taste has been damaged from years of smoking; this will improve the longer you are totally off of cigarettes.

It sounds like you are off to a pretty good start. You have a support system here at ECF to answer all of your questions.

Welcome to ECF and good luck!

Well I would of stuck with the regular evod battery but I went through 3 coils in one week of having it....so I just got a new battery to see if that worked out.

Also I have been looking at, what im guessing is called a mod, its called a lavatube. Looks preety interesting do y'all have any recommendations about that? I mean im not trying to buy it right now I mean this new twist battery wasn't too expensive but its still preety new so im going to try to stick with it for a while but for future reference.

Also thank y'all for your support.

You don't need to upgrade to a mod unless you are convinced you need something more powerful or want more options to control your vaping experience. Your current gear will be perfectly adequate to allow you to stop smoking.

Hmm...sounds awesome then I mean yeah now that I've been using the ego I notice a difference when it comes down to vaping....im using it at 4.8v and I guess the evod just wasn't strong enough. I dont tend to think about smokes as much anymore.
