New to vaping

Hi,

I'm new to vaping and currently own an eGo-T. I want to upgrade to something with variable voltage. I'm looking at the iTaste VV 3.0. I like the size and portability of it. Is this a good one because I am not happy with my eGo-T? Can anyone suggest another brand that is better than the iTaste VV or is this a good one? HELP!

The iTaste VV3 would be an upgrade to an eGo-T. You'll get both variable voltage and wattage, LED screen, voltage and ohm meter, and pass-thru ability (ability to use the device while attached to the charging cord to save battery life, or use it while it is being charged).

Downside is once the battery dies, the whole device is thrown away. Battery life is only 800 mah (8 hour use), so unless you usually have access to a wall outlet or USB port, you may need more than one to last the day.

I've heard good things about the iTaste VV 3.0 so I'm sure it would be better upgrade to the e_go T

But I would give a +++ and +1 on the MVP 2.0 and the Kanger Aero Tank. I've also have a Nautilus tank, but with the coil problems everyone has been having with the Nautilus, (including myself ... even after re-building the coils), I would go with the AeroTank & the MVP 2.0. Great Taste, with the MVP plenty of Vapor and little if any coil problems. The MVP battery last me 2 days before re-charging and I vape about 5ml a day. You can get the MVP 2.0 for $35.99 and the Areo Tank for $19.99 from Vapor Foundry (BOTH Authentic)

Vapor Foundry

Even though the MVP is a self contained battery. When it dies, probably in a year or two, you have to buy a new one. But at the low prices of the MVP over a 2 year period that's roughly $.05 a day. And not having to carry extra batteries and battery chargers with you is a definite plus for portability. Plus, it's size ... even with the AreoTank ... easy to take anywhere. (See photo below)

The v3 is good for what it is. If 800maH is enough for you and you are not prone to dropping things it is a good choice. The ohm meter is good enough of you start to rebuild you own protank coils or whatever you like. It can be used as a pass-thru so no down time if you are charging it. My wife has one and is happy with it. As mentioned above if size isn't an issue the MVP 2 is it's big brother. Check out 101vape they usually have them and run about $26 for the battery and charging cord, $40 for the MVP.

A drip tip is basically a mouthpiece. Most everything comes with a drip tip. Except some dripping rebuildables. There are some cool customizable drip tips out there but beware, some advertised 510 drip tips won't fit certain atomizers. Take it to a shop and fit it to your setup. :)

Thank you for the great info. Are their any other manufacturers out there that make comparable or better versions than Innokin?

Which innokin model?

for comparison to mvp 2.0 if you spend a little more the dovpo e-lvt is very nice solid device and splash/water proof. Plus you can actualy replace the battery with ease. It is the only thing I think comes close to what the mvp 2.0 offers

I have an E-LVT myself and I like it. Its a very nice vape with the new Kanger Aerotank Mega (both the big one and the mini aerotank). That said, it has a lower mhz chip, meaning that the power goes on and off at a rate of something like 300 times per second (might actually be lower) while pressing the button, whereas the MVP version 2.0 has the power going on and off something like 800 times per second. Correct me if I'm wrong on that math guys!

End result is the MVP gives you a smoother, really overall better vape, not unlike that of the Provari.

Personally I advocate the extra money being spent on the Provari, but I would wait and see what the new P3 is going to be like. It's going to be released this year.

MVP 2.0 can be had for 40 bucks if you bargain hunt, E-LVT goes for about 90 bucks, but its a big, heavy sucker

Hi Ryan, and welcome to ECF! :)

My recommendation for an eGo power unit - i.e., something similar in design and execution to your eGo-T but with many more features - is the SLB eGo-V V3 Mega. It is the finest eGo-style device I've ever seen or heard of. Of course, there may be something out there that I haven't yet seen or heard of in terms of an eGo power unit. But I've seen and researched many devices in this category before I decided on this one.

And although it's one of the more expensive ones at $36.99, it's well worth it in my book. I absolutely LOVE mine, and I reach for it more often than anything else in my collection. Here is a link to a detailed description of it that I posted in another ECF thread.

I'll summarize its features below, several of which set it apart from other eGo devices and even some full-scale mods:

-- Large capacity 1300mAh battery
-- eGo and 510 threaded
-- Variable voltage (VV) 3.0v to 6.0v in 0.1v increments (most VV eGo's have a shorter 3.3v to 4.8v range)
-- Variable wattage (VW) 3.0w to 15.0w in 0.5w increments (most eGo's don't do variable wattage at all)
-- 2.5A maximum current (most devices I've seen have a 2A maximum current)
-- LCD display and two lockable buttons (+/-) for feature selection and usage
-- 14s safety cutoff (most devices have a 10s cutoff)
-- Built-in ohm meter
-- Passthrough charging with included USB cable

It has the familiar rubberized finish that feels so good to hold, similar to most other black eGo units out there. The finish is quite sturdy, the materials are robust and the overall build quality is very solid. It comes in a very nice brown and gold display box.

If I had to pick one feature as my favorite from this feature-rich product, I think it would be passthrough. It's sooo nice to simply plug in and continue vaping when it's battery needs a charge.

And finally, based on what I've seen reported here and elsewhere online, SLB (Sailebao) is a well-renowned company. I'm not certain, but it looks like they do a combination of manufacturing and rebranding, as is done by many such companies in this still-fledgling industry.

I agree with this 110%. Passthru capability is a must in my book. I'm surprised you don't hear more about this on here. I'm not familiar with the V3 Mega but have had a couple itaste vv V3's and an MVP. An MVP is referred to as the vv V3's big brother. Not only does it last much longer, it is also much tougher. I find it easier to carry than the pen type mods.
