New To Vaping!!!

Hi Fellow members of ECF,

Just a quick snippet... a fairly longtime cigar smoker, not so much a cigarette smoker, but looking to get into the world of vaping. Originally from Central Illinois with some time spent in Oklahoma, Kentucky, Louisiana and now currently living in Northern California.

I took quite a big jump into the world of vaping by purchasing an IPV2 (currently waiting on shipment) and a Russian RBA. I like to build stuff and am pretty mechanical so this will allow me to start building some coils.

Hope to learn a lot, and experience a great community here at ECF.

Hello fellow noob! I dont know why but it never crossed my mind that cigar people would switch to vaping as well. A couple years ago I was a big cigar aficionado. Are there any "cuban/dominican" cigar juices that are even remotely close to the complex flavors of a cigar? If so I am gonna be in trouble..........

Thanks all for the kind welcomes!!!

After researching there are various manufacturers who make a "cigar" juice. Preference is totally up to you though.

I recently ordered the Dekang Cigar Cubano 50/50 PG/VG at 6mg (evcigarette), but cannot comment on how the juice is...waiting on my mod/RBA at the present time.

I am active on another forum (not vape related) and there is a "E-Cig" thread. On that thread, the recommendations were Kayfun or Russian...and someone just happened to be selling a Russian for a decent price. Thus, I went with the Russian for the present time.

In the near future, I may be looking for a more portable mod, as every other month requires international travel/work.

Before you do anything dangerous or silly with a mod or tank may I suggest a few vaping resources to help...

First, any time you build a coil refer to this online "app" where you can choose the wire you want use, the size diameter, single coil or dual, and the ohms you are aiming for and it will tell you exactly how many wraps you need. It has a nice visual image to guide you. It is called coil toy. Here: Coil Toy - Online calculator for e-cigarette resistance coil building

Second, always refer to a Vaping Safety Chart (verison 3.0 is the best one) to determine the variable voltage and/or wattage you should use for the resistance (ohm) coil you have built. There is a separate sub ohm vaping chart too. If you follow this chart you can find the sweet spot for your build and avoid burning a coil and/or your juice. Here is a link: Safe Vaping Power Chart | The Tamarind Tree

Third, if you want an advanced online resource for coils, juice mixing, ohm charts, battery drain, and finding the sweet spot for your specific APV go to this site. Steam Engine | free vaping calculators
