hey all, I just started getting into vaping about 2 weeks ago. I was a pack a day smoker before I was introduced to vaping. I tried everything to quit smoking but it was hard for me. As soon as I started vaping I was able to quit analogs almost instantly. A buddy of mines introduced me and ordered me a mech mod before I even knew what it was. I started doing some research and started catching onto the vaping world quickly. I bought a couple purple efest batteries and an efest luc v2 charger. My mod has been working great so far. I have a couple questions I want to ask the more experienced vapors.

1. I have a Kamry k100 with a protank 2. How do you guys feel about my set-up? Should I switch to a regulated mod since Im a newbie?
2. Im interested in the Aspire nautilus. Worldofvape.com has them for $22 before shipping. Anyone have any experience with there Aspire products? I've heard of knock-offs being a big problem for Aspire products.
3. Im smoking through almost 5mL of juice per day. Would you consider that alot?
4. I dont plan on sub-ohming but I would like to learn to rebuild my own coils. Can anyone point me to right direction?
I appreciate all your help and I'm proud to be a part of this community.

Hi and good to hear you dropped the ciggies

1) if you are happy with your set , you good to go. Seeing you are using very decent batteries and a tank with ready made coils , I don't see y you'd need to change. If you want to start rebuilding coils , make sure to get an ohm meter to prevent shorting.
2) most larger web shops selling something being brand x , will make sure it is the genuine product. Look around a bit. If 1 webshop sells at half the price of all others , you might want to think twice. Of course the occasional promo is always a nice opportunity.
3) since you just of the cigs, no not really. You might want to up your nicotine a bit if you want to go through less juice in a day.
4) YouTube. Just type "rebuild coil" and add any tank name and there you go

thanks guys. i just received my juice i ordered from mtbakervapor. i ordered max vg because thats what i was getting from my local B&M. can anyone tell me the major difference between pg & vg? what mixture do you recommend?

It just all depends on what you like. Higher PG is going to give you more of the throat hit like a cigarette so to speak. The VG is going to produce more vapor if you are into cloud chasing. The VG is also sweeter tasting to me. I use a 50/50 mix because it makes me feel like I am getting the best of both worlds. You really just have to try different juices to find out what makes your taste buds dance. Here is a link to find some really good deals if you are interested. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/pay-forward-pif/418767-deals-steals-213.html Before I started mixing my own, I liked finding a good sale to try something new. Good luck to you and continued success.

If go with high VG and you get this weird phlegm in your throat that's normal. Not too many people mention that and I was quite surprised when it happened to me. I can only go with high VG for so long because of that. Also PG does similar things to me and It's well known that some people are sensitive to it. I stick with 50/50 so I don't get either.

Welcome :)

The Nautilus is a wonderful tank, if you're using 5ml a day you'll only need to fill it once a day ;) 5ml doesn't seem like a lot to me, I'm probably closer to 10, but I was at 50 analogs a day when I finally quit.

If you want to get into rebuilding, and like tanks, take a look at the Kayfun clones. I'm still waiting (impatiently) on my first one to arrive, but they have great reviews.
