So I've been trolling around here for a few weeks, reading up on reviews, mods, and anything interesting. I decided I needed to go ahead and try this e-cig thing and after a few days of research I decided to go with cignot to get a pv. 5 days ago I ordered a joye 510 with a PCC from them for a really nice price.

About 3 days after I ordered it I went to a smoke shop in fort worth and picked up a No-7 personal vaporizer from them for 50 bucks. At the time I thought it was a m401 but Im not an expert at this so I really don't know. My first reaction? Horrible. the No. 7 was actually painful to vape.

I was using the No. 7 w/ 18 mg Peach flavor from myfreedomsmokes and while the juice tasted good, it just killed my throat in that unit. If I hadn't of already had the joye 510 on the way I would have probably just dropped the whole vaping idea right then and there.

Luckily my 510 arrived yesterday morning and the difference is unbelievable. I get twice the vapor without feeling like I have a cutting torch on high blast in the back of my throat. I have tried the 18 mg freedom smokes peach, 26 mg 555, 26 mg ry4, a 16 mg apple(I cant even remember the manufacturer of this one) and 25 mg ecoPure fresh from cignot.

All but the apple and peach have been from cignot and im looking to try some flavors from tasty vapor next, but, so far the difference has been awesome.

The ecoPure doesn't seem to have much of a flavor but it definitely has a kind of *clean* vape feeling.. If that makes any sense.

Anyway I do have one question.. The horrible throat burn I had before when I was using the No7, could that be because I was adjusting to the PG or was I doing something wrong? could a difference in model really make that big of a difference? I direct drip the 510

Hi Dan,

You weren't doing anything wrong, each e-cig is different in its vaping ability. If you vap to hard then the nicotine actually leaks out and goes to the back of your throat. I could taste the nicotine, and it would burn my lips and throat.

Glad to hear you like your new e-cig. I am new to this site to, and I am finding out alot of different information.

Welcome to ECF Dan and Congrats on switching to vaping! I cannot comment on the No7 because I am not familiar with that model but I started out with the 510 from Cignot as well and it has been quite a great journey from then on! If you keep getting the burning sensation, I would certainly try VG or a higher ratio of VG to PG as some people find VG more tolerable. I prefer VG as PG tends to irritate my throat. Wish you the best of success and Happy Vaping!

Wow you guys are crazy fast with responses.

The liquid Im enjoying the most so far is the 555 (3 and 5) VG from cignot. the taste is pretty good especially since I dont really like nutty flavor things - but, the vapor and the smothness of the juice itself is alot easier for me than the PG alternatives. the ry4 definitely has a harder throat hit for me but its still very very enjoyable in the 510 as opposed to the No7.

I'll probily look into sticking with VG as the vapor seems thicker than the others I've tried so far but thats not really saying a whole lot ;)

Thanks for the welcome there's alots of very useful information on these forums.

If you like RY4, which is my favorite tobacco vape, I would certainly recommend DIYFlavorShack DIY Flavor Shack by E-Cig Smoke Store. They have it in VG and add the dram of caramel......................the best! I like it so much that on my last order, I ordered 125 ml! Reminds me..............I need to check my stock! Happy Vapes!
