Sitting down, facing forward.
You made a good first step by coming to ECF. There are lots of nice folks here who can provide advice and assistance to help you along and find what works best for you.

Think about what you are really trying to accomplish. Do you want something that looks and acts like a cigarette? If so a mini system with automatic batteries like Volt is probably the best thing to try. If you don't mind something that is relatively heavy and needs one hand to operate it, IE can't be used "no hands" like a cigarette, then try an inexpensive variable voltage battery and inexpensive tank system.

I was a one to two pack a day smoker for 50 years and the Volt system has kept me off of tobacco for over nine months now and I have no desire to go back. I am a tinkerer by nature, but like the KISS principle when it comes to vaping and Volt makes that very easy. Volt/Smokeless Image uses the 808 thread system. All of their batteries are sealed to prevent damage and regulated to provide consistent performance. If you choose them, I would suggest the 78mm batteries since they have about 50% more capacity than the 65mm, IE they last about 50% longer between charges. They also offer larger batteries, X2 series, mid sized batteries as well. All of their cartomizers, clearomizers and other devices work with either the cig-a-like batteries or the larger batteries. Their customer service and shipping are excellent.

In the end the solution that works for you is the only "right" solution.

Hi Lilelf, Welcome to the ECF. If you have not already, read throught the info zone here at the ecf. This secion will help guide you in the right direction Best e-cigarette This coincides with my own personal views.

I personally would advise an eGo type battery, preferably a twist (kgo vv or spinner from vision also) as well as a few cartomizers and a small selection of clearomizers. I have no advance information on what is available to you in canada, but here are some examples AltSmoke.com | Personal Vaporizers | Electronic Cigarette | Ecigs | Vision Clearomizer - AltSmoke , KGO V.V. 650mAh , 3 BOX BUNDLE DEAL 510 BOGE 2.0 & 3.0 OHM CARTOMISERS (15 STANDARD SIZE CARTOMISERS) , These combined with a selection of eliquid would be a great place to launch your journey into vaping. I personally enjoy the tobacco line from here 18mg GP FlavorFull Tobacco eLiquid - 10ml bottle all reliabe flavors that are an enjoyable vape( i am fairly sure they ship to canada as well)

I know there is a whole lot to take in all at once, but if you get a device and get going it becomes easier as you participate. I added links from multiple vendors, and most carry all the things at one place, but this will allow you to do some shopping for a vendor who can assist you with shipping acroos the border.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE

2 Batteries, 1 Charger, and a USB/Wall Adaptor
2 types of juice delivery devices, a drip tip, and nicotine e-liquid.

*Vision eGo Spinner or Joyetech eGo Twist variable voltage batteries.

*Appropriate eGo charger and possibly a *USB/wall unit to provide the option to charge away from a computer port.

Juice Delivery Devices: I recommend getting two types to try.

A (5) pack of single coil *cartomizers at 2.5-3.0 ohm resistance. You'll also need at least one drip tip (mouth piece) to put on the end of these. http://altsmoke.com/accessories/driptip.html

A couple of *clearomizers (Vision or Kanger T3) to try, or...

A Vision *Mini Vivi Nova tank to try.

All the above can be found at AltSmoke.com | Personal Vaporizers | Electronic Cigarette | Ecigs | Your one stop shop!

Disclaimer: I provide the vendor's link only as a suggested retailer. A potential buyer can choose who and where to purchase their items wherever they wish. I have no affiliation with the suggested vendor, however they are a popular and reputable e-cig business used by many ECF members.

Juice, or *e-liquid:

For e-liquid, a typical 1 pack-per-day smoker likely will need 18-24 mg nicotine.

Figure on consuming 3-5 ml of liquid daily.

Lots of good advice here. Don't let all the products overwhelm you. The good people of ECF are very helpful. I can tell you this site helped me a lot. Oh, my favorite kit was a dual Ego/clearomizer set up.

jxc0175's suggestion is a great way to go! Later on you might want to get into all the mod stuff but for now this will do you just fine! In fact, you may never even feel the need to get into the mod stuff.
