I guess you can get rusty. Keeping my post above as a stark reminder that complacency can make you sloppy.

After a red-faced, "oh, god!" moment, I reminded myself of what the C-rating is compared to the CDR. The math works. These are (and this includes confirmed authentic VTC5'S) indeed true 30a batteries.

On the upside, one point remains the same: These batteries should not be used at much below 0.2ohms. Too little headroom. A 0.5ohm coil offers 30% headroom. I strive for 25% or more.

Darn. You just had to sneak in and correct yourself before I could feel like "Awww yeah...I corrected someone" lol

Here is what is supposedly the data sheet for the VTC4, though(link at bottom). It says 30A on page 5/18 if you go by the top number(4/17 if you go by the bottom).

OP is using a regulated mod with protection. It is designed to work with resistances down to .1 ohm. It is not a mech mod, so all this stuff about battery saftey as per ohms law is kind of irrellevant. OP just needs to use batteries with CDR recommended by Sigelei.

The Sigelei 150 will be able to use the entire power range with resistance builds between 0.167 – 0.375 ohm. If going above or below this range, you will hit an electronic cutoff and the mod won't be able to reach 150 watts.
