Hello, I usually just google an answer but that didn't work this time. My question is this: I have a trustfire battery charger its been plugged in for about three years until I unplugged it on accident from the power strip. now the lights flash green with or without a battery in it. I let it do this for 30 minutes or so thinking maybe it was resetting but alas I think not. The lights flash in a rythmic sort of way going between slow and fast. Any idea what is up here?

If your charger is a TR-001 I would bin it even if it was performing well. Actually, I wouldn't use a Trustfire charge no matter what model, but that one has known issues that can hurt your batteries and make them unsafe.
I'm a little out of the loop when it comes to chargers these days. Bought my second one about a year ago and I stick to known good manufacturers and suppliers when it comes to them and to batteries. I'm sure you'll get advice on what's good today from the folks that are up on it, and I know there are good inexpensive options out there and if you want to go with all the bells and whistles that's available too

Get the best charger that you can reasonably afford. Statistically most battery incidents occur while charging. Pila, Xtar, and Nitecore Intellicharger are the most recommended brands.
I currently have a Nitecore Intellicharger i4 and have no complaints about it. When it comes time to replace it would love to get an Xtar VP4.

I agree with all the above, upgrade... I have a couple Nitecore chargers I use, the I2 and I4. Liion Wholesale Batteries | Li-ion battery distributor (Pennsylvania) I2 is under $15 here, great price on the LG HG2's (3000 mah, 20 Amp flattop) as well.

Efest is a very highly recommended charger as well , especially the LUC series .
