New type AW 18650

I was just looking at batteries on Super T's website and saw an AW battery that was new to me. It was: AW 18650 2900mAH protected 3.7v. Built with LiNiCoO2 NNP cells .

Does anyone know what this is and how it is different than the other AW protected batteries?

i don't think that is new i have aw 2900 protected and have had them for a year.

Those aren't new, they are protected Li-ion batteries. AW offers 18650 2200mah, 2600mah, 2900mah and 3100mah protect Li-ion. The 2200mah is a button top battery with the others being flat top.
