Hi there,

I discovered e-cigs 12 days ago since which time I have been vaping, sometimes with delight

and at other times with great frustation...

My friend first gave me his small greensmoke battery and I loved it so much I bought my own

kit....My kit was delivered with tiny holes in the thread ( I used three cartridges in 1

day, I knew something was wrong) which I hated compared with my friends small battery that

had no tiny holes. So I swapped it.

Now I find even with new cartridges the first 30 - 40 puffs give me a good hit then they

just go weak, which is frustating as I know the flavour is dying and I am not getting the

"hit at the back of the throat" even with 16mg cartridges. It just then appears as if I am

sucking on a slightly stronger air. Also the batteries just don't seem as strong as before.

I am really frustated to the point I may stop vaping but just don't want to as I love the

no smell, no tar and feel different not having smoked..

Can you experienced vapours please help me answer these questions:

- why after 30 - 40puffs on a 16mg cartridge do I feel like there is alot of air?
- compared to other ecigs how good is the greensmoke ecig?
- am doing something wrong?
- why when I first blow down the cartridge then hear bubbling noise thereafter inhale do I

get a decent hit?
- do i always have to charge the battery? esp when not vaping

please help me avoid going back to smoking, I really dont want to go back down that road

Thanks for your help in advance...

Cheers

Hello, and welcome to ECF.

After 30 to 40 hits you're probably running low on liquid and need to add more.
Greensmoke isn't one of the better e-cig's. There are lots better models on the market. You might want to look here E-Liquid for some better models.
If you have 2 batteries you should always have one charged so it isn't necessary to keep charging.
I don't understand your question about blowing down the cartridge.

My advice is to get a several bottles of e-liquid. It sounds like you're running it too dry which will cause problems. The atomizer needs to be moist or it will overheat and burn out. I'd also suggest having at least 2 batteries. If you call Liberty Flights they can probably make suggestions as to what equipment you could try.

I started with Green Smoke and TBQH they're overpriced rubbish. cskent provided an excellent link for you. They have great prices and fantastic products. I would suggest that you choose your e-cig based on how much you smoke per day. If you smoke half a pack or less per day, then a regular 510 or KR808D-1 kit should work well for you. If you smoke more than half a pack per day, then you'll want to take a look at the Riva/eGo kits. The batteries are bigger and will last longer.

xirokx, I went to the greensmokes web site and clicked on cartridges. There are 2 types of cartridges there, one looks like a 2-piece and the other one looks like a single piece. I may be wrong, but I believe the one-piece is a flow-thru "cartomizer" and the two-piece is in fact an atomizer/cartridge combo. This is gonna sound like greek to you but I have found that the one-piece type is more like smoking on air for me, it describes almost exactly what you are complaining of here. I can't stand them for that reason, I don't feel like I get much vapor off of a cartomizer (one-piece). I have not tried many different types of carto's yet but the one type I have was disappointing in this regard, even after refilling it. I think it has something to do with the large flowthru of air. :p I vape exclusively on the 2-piece cartridge setup, the atomizer/cartridge combo, and I have been much happier with the taste and the vapor hit from these. Downsides to this are that I have to refill the cartridge with liquid more often, and it's a little messier than a cartomizer. Perhaps this may help you a bit, if you compare the cartridge you currently have with holes in the thread with the one your friend uses and you may find this is the difference.

As to their prices... I'm not sure what connector that is but I'll look it up and see if it's a standard connector, then come back and edit my post with the info. For one thing, finding out that connector will give you greater purchasing options, and there are oh so many juice/accessories providers here with excellent, raving reviews from members. There's a place for everyone, and I hope you will stay :) BTW it LOOKS like a 901 connector.... maybe someone can help with that to confirm?

Also, I am vaping with an Ego and am very happy with the battery life- alllll day long and then some. The greensmokes one looks like it would last a 5-8 hours depending on use tho. If you're just getting in to this and don't want to go out and buy another kit (altho the Ego's and Riva's are very highly recommended) there's no reason you shouldn't be able to still use the battery you're using.

Yes Sweetniko, it's Kiki one of my beautiful furry friends. I'm the lucky slave of 9 beautiful cats - 8 Maine Coons & 1 dear old moggie - all mainly rescues/rehomed to me. I also think the cat in your avatar is stunning.

Oops so sorry for hijacking your thread xirokx.

Hey CSKENT, thanks for recommending Liberty Flights I will check them out, unfort I cannot refill the green smoke cartridges, they are getting worse, I got 3 x 5 new cartridges yesterday after 20 - 30 puffs the cartridges are empty..

I hear you loud n clear, when I started with them 12 days ago all was well but now after a series of errors i.e. bad batteries and bad carts I do not trust their product. I will indeed check out Liberty Flight esp the riva 501 kit I just hope things do not get worse from here. I am doing well by not smoking normal cigarettes and want things to be that way by sticking with e cigs just hope a new kit allows me to do that, its one thing suffering from the withdrawals without having the added anxiety of whether your kit will perform well or let you down...thanks for your response

Hello & welcome xirokx from another Uk vaper

I agree with CSkent, check out the Riva's @ Liberty Flights.

Hey a UK Vaper, I feel at home now :) thanks will do

UPDATE: spoke to Liberty Flight UK yesterday had a good chat with Mike, explained my problems and frustations with Greensmoke, he was very good in that he never bad mouthed his competitor and after a brief chat he recommend the riva 510 titanium kit with some eliquid. He suggested I opt for 5ml PG and 5ml VG to start off with to see how I get on before I start concoting my own which I agreed too.

So hopefully my riva 510 will be posted today and I should hopefully receive it tomorrow..

Is it difficult to set it up? any videos flying about?
Also I never got a drip tray, do I need one?

I am just praying I have a better experience with this kit...

Thank you so much guys please let me know about the above

I'm certain you will have a much better experience with the Riva :)

Here's a video showing the Riva 901 - it just has a different atomiser & battery thread to the Riva 510 but the set up is the same :)

YouTube - REVIEW OF THE 901 RIVA ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE

If you meant do you need a drip tip? then no, but you might like to try one at a later date :)
