Greensmoke taste and questions

Hi guys I am very new to the whole e-cig thing and broke down and after looking all of the net I found that everyone seemed to brag about Greensmoke, after seeing all the comments I rushed and placed my order for the product and got it delivered I ordered first the 12mg and got the them along with my starter kit, as to my disappointment it had no flavor and if for me to technically describe it there wasnt much there at all but lots of vapor. Keeping this in mind my wife decided to also get a Greensmoke starter kit and said I made the mistake of ordering the lower mg and she ordered a starter kit with their higher 16mg cartridges, to my depressed surprise when getting them and trying them they also did not do anything for me, they had no more flavor but slightly a better throat hit. After going through all that and being a little upset having two kits and all these cartridges now in hand I break down after reading some forums about refilling with better juices, I decided to give another investment and refill a cartridge with an order of Juicy Liquids Caramel Crisp liquid in VG & 24mg level, to be honest the very first hit tasted and seemed as though it would be good after the first hit this became just as bad as the original Greensmoke no flavor really but the aroma of Caramel or a syrup in the air, I am wondering if all the taste issues are because of the Greensmokes cartomizers or is it just the normal flavor tastes of this juice no matter what you vape? Can someone please let me know if I am chasing a hopeless case for myself?
