New User and New Kinda New to Vaping

Hi all,

I smoked for twenty years until I found out about vaping. My introduction began with blu, which wasn't anything to write home about. I tried a few of the e-sticks, one brand I can't remember which tasted pretty bad, and then NJOY, flavors which I prefer.

I was part of their flavor trial last month and really liked what I was able to try, but I have to admit that I haven't tried any other flavored e-cig or vape, so although I think NJOY is great, they also that they make their flavors in the US, which is where I'm from, I could be missing out on some good e-juice flavors. But NJOY's flavors taste are extremely realistic without any chemical or perfum-y hints.

Anyway, I got lucky yesterday when I decided to get a vaping kit, which I ordered from NJOY, again because I'm amazed with their flavors. I got a basic set for a total of 50% off. I don't know how long the coupon codes will last, but I got to use two seperate codes at the same time, which was awesome.

In case any of you are thinking of trying it, let me know if you do. One code's on their site: it's for 30% off LABOR30, and the other is for 20% off VAPE20.

It's probably not a big deal, but I saved $50 out of $100, which was pretty decent as I've seen vaping kits start around $50, so anyone looking to try NJOY won't have to break the bank.

Also, I don't work for NJOY, I just realized something cool and saved some cash!

That's all for now, thanks for reading!

$50.00 for a evod type battery with a CE4 and case ----- What deal -----not.
You can get kits like that for half at just about any vape website. The power of mass marketing.... gotta love it.

I hear ya, but I only found out about NJOY from an online review. It was at the 7-11, so I tried it and it was good. I haven't heard anything of the company before, and we didn't yet have any vape shops in town. I'm the type of person who trusts his credit card info only to known companies, and I see them in the stores, which leads me to believe they are legit. That being said, I didn't know about vaping communities like here, where the info is word of mouth -which is a relief. Now I know that I can get legit info from other people before I decide what to do with my precious money\info. And now that a few BNMs opened up in town, I'm now open to exploring even more options.

Welcome to ECF. You got a basic kit that if you stick with it, you will probably outgrow fairly quickly. Hang on to it though while you do some reading here to see what your next step will be. I smoked for 46 years at 2 packs a day and tried a Blu and it did not do the job. Then I found ECF. After a couple of weeks of reading and asking questions I bought a Vision Spinner 1300mah and a couple of Evods and 510 attys and I was able to stop smoking. Click on this link below to a thread that has a lot of information for you to read and get familiar with some of what is out there and some basic info.

Have fun with this. There are a lot of great people here and we love to answer questions and help new people get started and be successful.

There are batteries that will hold a charge all day or 2 days (MVP2). There are mods that you can change the batteries and just charge the batteries. There are juice delivery systems that will hold 4 to 6 ml of juice. Many options out there for you. Your best bet is to buy online. You will get the best choices and the best prices. Do some reading and watching youtube videos to see what interests you. Then come back here with your questions.

There's nothing wrong with buying disposals at a convenience store or buying them online. A lot of us started out with Blu or NJOY or GreenSmoke. You just have to remember Big Tobacco are behind those brands so you're still giving them your money and their kits are ridiculously expensive.

Here is a list of forum suppliers: Suppliers

This means ECF has already vetted them for you and they have a rep from the companies on the forum. They usually have their own Sub-Forum as well and you can check them out that way too.

Bottom line, don't regret your vaping setup if it works for you.

Welcome to ECF! I am glad to be here too!

I'll start with one important thing that ALL vapers need to know. Not all E-Liquid is created equal! Know who you are buying from and that it is a reputable source - not something made in someones bathtub! To protect our rights, and protect the industry, make sure you are asking this forum or your local vape shop about who the manufacturer is, if there is an ingredient list, at what temp/volt/resistance that liquid is designed to be vaped. The more you know about what you are putting into your body the better. There is no harm in PG & VG & Nicotine when vaped appropriately, however the flavorings used in E-Liquids are all different - some great and some terrible. There is great information at AEMSA.org and other industry groups - as well as great insight here at the forum. Made in the USA just might mean it was mixed in the back room, so be careful, get educated, ask questions, vape smart, and enjoy yourself to the fullest. Vape On!
