So i am about a half pack a day smoker. I was at the gas station on saturday filling up, and about to buy a pack of smokes (marb menthol lights) and saw a sale on "disposable ecigs" $9.99 and supposed to be 300 puffs... It was a 2 piece system...

Well, it worked all day yesterday, and I didn't buy ANY cigarettes and smoked the ecig while my friends were smoking there analogs and had no problem...The ecig died today...

Therefore I go to the INTERWEB. I had heard of the Blu ecigs and others, but knew that there had to be an abundant source of info on the web. Hence, ECF!

I was immediately HOOKED to this site, I've literately been on it since 4pm and its 11pm now... It has helped me realize that most of the ecigs out there are BS, and what good ecigs to buy.

I really like the idea of the big battery mods due to the longevity of the battery life, but I do not like the fact that they are really NOT like a real analog cigarette.

Due to this thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ltimate-analog-experience-bloogplanet-13.html and GRIMMGREEN's review on youtube, I think i'm going to buy a Bloog Maxxfusion for my first PV. I think eventually I will have two, a BB mod for home and the maxx for the road and at work/college.

Anyway, I'd just thought I'd say HELLO, and tell you all what I'm up to. Thanks for all the help ECF!

Welcome to the madness.

So for starters, what do you smoke (brand/strength) and do you have any hangups like "must look like a regular cig"? What models have you looked at that appeal to you?

Fill in a few blanks and we will try to point you in the right direction so that you can minimize the "learning curve" that so many of us have had to deal with.

Hi, I just registered today because I read a post about how the Food and Drug Administration is AGAIN seizing shipments of ecigs -- the post asked members to write to their state reps -- which I did immediately!

My story is that I saw Catherine Heigel on The David Letterman show with her eCig and immediately jumped on the internet for more info. I searched and read and searched and read for about a week, chose an online vendor and have been cigarette and smoke free for One Month (yesterday!). This after a nearly 30 yr. love/hate relationship with cigarettes. AMEN!

Hey Puff, I am noob too and been reading the forum the past couple of days to get an idea about this e-cig thingy. I am exactly in the same boat as you! I really like what i see in the new maxx fusion setup as my 1st PV kit, but their ultimate starter kit is OOS, i would rather buy it all at once rather than bits n pieces. Have u order yours yet? Please post review once you do and welcome to the forum!

That's my story as well.

When I saw Katherine Heigl -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysGyfLwwr1s -- I said "That's it! That's how I will quit!"

So I got info from the Internet and it's three months today that I have been tobacco free!

OOS = out of stock, i figured i am gonna be serious about this e-cig, might as well do it right with the PCC and everything, make sure i always have spares with me so i don't seek for the analog :), the battery on these KR808 isn't exactly great (compared to the bigger models)...
in terms of juice, the kr808 sub forum is a good place to look, can't recommend any cause i am just as fresh as you are on this e-cig thing:
KR808D-1

I have been using a KR808D from Cig2o that I bought at the local Tobacco shop over two months ago. Have not smoked an analog since then. I just ordered the Joye Ego kit from Liberty Flights $39.99 after 20% discount. The Cig2o has been great for me with several exceptions The battery does not last long enough, thats the main reason I'm ordering the Ego. The other thing is the carts that the sell at the local store have been extremely inconsistent. One third of them are duds that either don't have much liquid in them or don't work at all. That's why I'm looking forward to filling myself ,to avoid wasted money on dud cartos. Good luck on your ecig journey. BTW I have heard from some that the Egos might not give as good of throat Hit as the KR808. That's probably my only concern with the Ego. Otherwise you can't beat that price.

Puff N Tampa, I get my juice from Awesome Vapor, just google it. Its a really nice site ran by a family in Georgia. They have really great prices and decent flavors (ones Ive tried) and 2-3 day shipping. Ive also recently ordered some juice from Johnson Creek, as they have good reviews and decent prices, they sell 30ml bottles there as well! If you are just starting off, and want to give up the analogs right away, I'd start with a 24ml then work your way down, but if you were a light smoker and not that much then maybe the 16ml would be better. You can always start off higher and dilute it as well with VG to your liking! So many options! Good luck! :)

Glad you joined us. Welcome.
Freedom Smoke USA, Vapor Bomb, and Tasty Vapor are good places to start looking for e-juice. I think they all let you tailor your pg/vg mix. Good Prophets for vg.
IMO, I'd start with 18 or 24mg. You can always cut it, if it's to strong.
Good choice on the Bloog Maxxfusion.
