Hi Everyone

I just bought my first e-cig about a week ago from epuffer dot com. Honestly, I didn't do a whole lot of research before purchasing (I was pretty excited about the prospect of kicking a really bad habit and wanted to get started as soon as possible) and honestly picked from the company whose first review I saw on youtube.

I've had a fairly poor experience so far (I purchased the epuffer elite classic). Produces very little vapor - gotten juice in my mouth twice - the throat hit is ok.

I guess my question is... am I expecting way too much out of this? I'd like to have something I can smoke like a regular cigarette (I feel like I'm constantly vaping with the elite classic and not getting the satisfaction of a nice nic buzz)

I've heard that buying blank cartridges and filling with your own liquid is the way to go. Just not sure... I'm thinking of getting a Joye 510 after all the positive reviews on the forum...

Any direction on if I should go ahead with this purchase (or am I just kidding myself with the e-cig thing), where I should get it from if I do (was looking at esmokey treats), and what type of juice would you recommend for a parliament light smoker?

Thanks for all your help! Very informative forum!

A couple of issues;

1. put your location in your profile (state is close enough if you dont want to be more specific). This help when recommending a supplier close to you if it would be helpful

2. What were your smoking habits prior to getting your ecig? (Brand, light, ultra light, non filter, etc and # of packs per day)

Some ecigs will not stand up well to heavy usage, while others work better the more you use them.

with this information we can make a better, more personalized recommendation.

I'm out of Chicago

I've been primarily smoking filtered Parliament lights for the last 5-6 years.

I would probably say I smoke about 7-8 per day - which is where I'm thinking the Joye 510's battery life isn't going to affect me that much

Looks like you're out of the same state - would definitely love some recommendations of decent suppliers

Thanks!

Don't know a lot about epuffer. It seems opinions on this supplier are split 50/50 good and bad............

It seems like you have pretty light usage. Certainly a 510 should be more than sufficient for your needs.

I have purchased 7 510 kits, all from Widows Bead Work - Home The kit is $50 including shipping and you will have it in 2-3 days (assuming Monique is not out of stock). The kit comes with 2 batteries and 2 atomizers which should get you started OK. Although I would probably recommend 2 kits because then you get 4 atomizers and 4 batteries.........or at the very least get 1 extra battery and 1 extra atomizer.

You should also get a small bottle of juice from her so you can refill your cartridges. the 12mg strength should be more than sufficient.

Let me know if you need anything else.

I would put the guy in an 801 setup, he's a light smoker. he'll lay his 801 down in 3 months and be finished with nic unless he get MORE hooked by using a high output pv. If he needs more "nic bite" use 18mg juice....to me, the 801 is the work horse for light smokers...just my opinion from what I read and I use the 801. my goal is to get people off of cigarettes first then get them off the PV next....

If your looking for the nic buzz you may also want to get a small bottle of a high concentration juice (24mg or 36mg). Use a couple drops when you need a heavy dose to get that nic buzz your lookin for. Thats what I have started doing. I just started dripping rather than using the carts for my NPro (until my Janty Stick arrives) and WOW! Such an increase in vapor production. Do you have bottled juice or just carts? If you have some juice give this a shot:

1)Remove the cart from your ecig.

2) Inside the cartridge is a smaller cartridge that contains the juice. Use a safty pin or something similar to remove the actual cartridge inside from the mouth piece portion.

3) Drip a 2 -3 drops of juice directly onto the atomizer and put the mouthpiece portion of the cart back on the atomizer and take a couple hits.

Now if you do not have a bottle of juice, you can extract the juice from a cart by CAREFULLY pulling the nylon/wool-like mesh out of the cart with tweezers and squeezing it out into the the atomizer. Now be VERY CAREFUL with this. Clean up any spills immediatly as the juice can make pets and kids very ill or even kill them if injested. Hope this helps!

I'd be with you EXCEPT the 510 has the manual batts. Less problems and stick switches than with the automatic batteries. I don't think the 510 will get anyone "more" addicted...............

oh yeah, so he can burn his atty's. The point is to get off the PV someday. The 801 only works well when you don't overheat the boil chamber, so hitting it every 15 seconds is about all the action an 801 can handle, so the result is high hit value, in a timed release situation...works for me...just my opinion. My goal is to leave the PV behind somday, not become addicted to the PV....I tell that exact same thing to my clients...."makes good sense" is their reply

An 801 definitely could work for him. Since he has had a somewhat bad experience already, I erred on the side of caution going with the 510 since there are less problems in general with that model than almost any other........
