Greetings all,

I've read a lot of threads here on the forums trying to grasp all the possibilities available in the world of vaping, and I think my brain is in overload. I believe I have a better feeling of what I want and what I don't want, but am still uneasy on what exactly my next step should be.

To start things off, I have been vaping for a little bit here and there with a 902 from Modern Vapor that was a gift from an EX. I recently decided to go all out for vaping to get away from the analogs, and so far it's been going rather well (at least not touching the analogs). However, after spending more time with this unit, I realize now that I'm not satisfied with it, and thus begins my quest to find my 2nd and hopefully last unit. I'll caveat this by stating that I've started down the path of quitting smoking. Eventually I will stop vaping as well, but already after a few days of not touching an analog, it's amazing how much better I feel. So, vaping it is.

Below are some points to help guide my inquiry and potential feedback on where to go next:
1] TH! So far I've found one vapor (bought the pre-filled cartridges) that does provide a little hint of TH with the 902, but it's still not satisfying me. Even after the reading I've done so far, I am still clueless on how to best match a good unit with the right vapor. Or if that's even how it works...

2] Longevity. I'm not vaping all day long, but the battery on the 902 does not last long (I estimate I puff about 6 times, on average 5 times a day), and it seems like 2 sessions drains it pretty good. The only thing is, I'm just not sure if I would like the feel of having a bigger battery. Are there any slim batteries that would cater to my estimated usage with only occasional charging during the day? If not, then I'd most likely give a larger battery a try. Of course, I may be inclined to puff more if I didn't have to constantly keep the battery charging (I only have one for this unit).

3] After reading about, and watching various videos on, the use of dripping, it's not something I'm interested in. I would much rather continue using cartridges. Now up to this point I've been getting pre-filled, but I'm ready to take the next step by filling my own.

4] Mods have me completely clueless, so I'm not even sure I want to try going down that road. I want something easy to prepare, portable, and as hassle free as possible.

After all of the reading I've done, I realize how hard it is to try and come to the "perfect" solution for oneself on the first go, but I'm hoping to get a clearer picture of what I should buy next, even if I end up having to upgrade a piece here or there over time.

Thank you for your time, and if you have any questions to help guide a recommendation, by all means fire away.

Hey!! I think I can help you!! I started vaping with the Kr808, a smaller PV, they didn't last very long. I discovered and upgraded to the IGO 1300 mah and 650 mah. these are top notch devices in my opinion. I will not use another type of PV. The batteries last me at least a day and a half, depending on how much I vape!! I was so impressed with my first vape!! The cartomizers that comes with these kits are empty so you can buy juice to fill. They hold about 3 mil of juice, very easy to fill and can last me up to a whole day. I top them off maybe 2x with about another 10-20 drop. You can check these out at http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...mah-45-00-650-mah-40-00-a-25.html#post4183557, Bill has great prices and is helpful and has fast shipping!!
Also, a great place to buy juice Welcome to Tasty Vapor

oh yea for throat hit you should mention what mg strength your using. 18mg is like a lite cig., 24 mg like a regular, in general. But pg juice can affect th too.

The current strength I have been using is 12mg. I actually didn't think about this till now, but of the pre-filled carts that I got, they only had two strengths: 12mg (light) and 16mg (regular). So does the strength of nicotine affect TH on top of the base of juice?

Absolutely, the amount of nicotene affects the TH. I use 24 mg and am completely satisfied. Since using the IGO and 24 mg nic I haven't craved an analog. I was a pack a day smoker!

The higher nic does help, so do tobbacco flavors as far as TH is concerned. I really like 5v box mods, they can be just as cheap as anything else (godzilla and old goat ((both users here who make the things)) will hook you up nice, I love my godzilla mod). That is the one move that made it so it really feels like I'm inhaling something. I'd fill my own cartomizers if I was you, it gives you a ton more options on flavor, strength, and composition of your juice, and it save a ton of cash (I'm spending about 30$ this month, and I vape like a fiend). However if you're fine with the amount of nic you're getting I wouldn't go heavier. I would try some ry4 though, that stuff is flavor crack,

hey, hows about an ego-t with b tank?? very simple to use and a 1000mah battery will last for many hours.

I've read about tanks, but guess I haven't come across any pictures so I don't know how they differ from the cartridges I've been using till now. I haven't really researched tanks either because I didn't think it was something I would be into, so I may have missed something completely important. Do you have a link that shows such a unit?

Thanks.

yes, i dont like the pg throat hit. It makes me feel like I have a frog in my throat. You should definately try the 16mg. Its not too harsh at all. I'm finding 18mg is a little too weak for me even, but 24mg is too strong.

The light amount of nicotine may be one of the factors why it isn't really doing it for me, so I think I will try a little stronger. Unfortunately I don't know what the juice base is for the stuff I got, and/or what mix. And the frog feeling I hate too, even from analogs. Guess I have some experimenting to do in terms of liquids.

check it out, the tank slides into the atomizer after you fill it...there is a cap on the end of the tank you remove for that and then pop back on. atomizer screws onto battery which is also pictured here. im probably confusing you but i do like the ego-t. i have both a and b tanks. b holds more juice and seems better to me.

hrmmm,,,,901 works with 808 cartomizers, I'd try some 2.0 ohm cartomizers and some juice both vg and pg and in a couple different strengths and flavors with your current set up and see what that does for you while you shop for something with more battery life and or power... It'll make things a little hotter and heavier.
