New User....Need Help....

Hello, First off I want to apologize for not doing enough research before posting for the first time. Here's my situation: I've been a heavy smoker for the past 10 or so years (about 1.5 packs of newport reds per day) well my wife is pregnant and due next Friday and as i'm sure everyone knows how bad second hand smoke can be to a newborn...I have kind of procrastinated on picking up e-cigs. I'm in a bit of a time crunch to get a set-up ordered, what I know is a requirement for me:
1. Variable Voltage
2. Manual button
3. High liquid capacity
4. Refillable
5. Long battery life/ rechargeable

Other than this I really don't know what I need to order....hoping some experienced members can give me a few options from reputable dealers and a list of what all I need to order to be well set. My budget is around $150, I can flex a little bit on the spending if it would really be worth it as I really need to kick the actual cigarette habit FAST

Thanks in advance for the help and once again sorry for not doing enough research before posting.

Hi and congratulations on choosing life! I just put together a couple of a la carte kits for a good price. I'll PM you after you 5 posts in (that's required to PM). I'm sure you're going to get lots of terrific suggestions in the meantime - I'm too tired to type mine again. (And please don't feel like you have to take my recommendations - that is all they are). ;)

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE:

2 Batteries, 1 Charger, and a USB/Wall Adaptor

spinnerbattery.jpg
Vision eGo Spinner or Joyetech eGo Twist variable voltage batteries.

eGocharger.jpg
Appropriate eGo charger and possibly a USB/wall unit to provide the option to charge away from a computer port.

Juice Delivery Devices: I recommend getting two types to try.

single coil cartomizers.jpg
A (5) pack of single coil cartomizers at 2.5-3.0 ohm resistance. You'll also need at least one drip tip (mouth piece) to put on the end of these.

clearomizers.jpg
A couple of clearomizers (Vision or Kanger T3) to try, or...

vivinovamini-twist.jpg
A Vision Mini Vivi Nova tank to try.

*All the above can be found at Altsmoke. AltSmoke.com | Personal Vaporizers | Electronic Cigarette | Ecigs | Your one stop shop!

* Disclaimer: I provide the vendor's link only as a suggested retailer. A potential buyer can choose who and where to purchase their items wherever they wish. I have no affiliation with the suggested vendor, however they are a popular and reputable e-cig business used by many ECF members.

Juice, or e-liquid:

For e-liquid, a typical 1 pack-per-day smoker likely will need 18-24 mg nicotine.

Figure on consuming 3-5 ml of liquid daily.

What i started off with was just a eGo c twist 1100 mah which is varible voltage up to 4.8v and a Vivi Nova with a metal base to keep it flush (the real one) simple and easy to use/clean and alittle usb charger. Simple, great vapor and isnt bulky amd will last most of the day. If you want a bigger battery theres things called mods aka lavatubes, provari, evic and the list goes on! Im 2months no analog and on the go i use a dct texas tuff carto tank from vapedudes 3ml / vivi nova and at home my lavatube by volcano with a bigger udct carto tank 6.5ml from smoktech. The carto locks in the tank its great! Checkout these sites

The Joye e-vic also looks nice but it doesn't specify auto or manual.....I guess I could call in the morning

I've been vaping for just over a month now. The eVic is a manual mod. All high end mods are auto, at least that's what my month's worth of searching/looking/studying has found.

I started with an eGo CE4 starter kit. Am currently using a Vivi Nova 3.5 rebuild-able (it's much better than the ones that came with the kit).

I have an eVic on order which should come in this week. Wish I'd done that to start with.
