I have an itaste vv variable wattage and variable voltage and I'm currently using a dual coil clearomizer. My coil is 1.8 and when I check the resistance with my mod it reads 1.8 but my question is when I use charts to determine a good wattage and voltage setting do I go by 1.8 ohms or 3.6 being that it's dual coil? Any help will be very much appreciated!

No problem! I personally choose watts - but its really the same to use either. If you find a power level that you like and you set your watts (mine is generally set to 6.5-7) when you change tanks/toppers the voltage will change automatically should you use a different resistance so that you get the same result basically. Volts you will have to fiddle with a little to go up or down if you do the same thing.

Some people think of watts as "set it and forget it"

You are unlikely to blow a coil if you are conscientious - if you get to a burned taste back it down 1 setting (or as many as you prefer for taste) and you shouldn't do any harm.

Vaping is like eating... you add spices till you like it what you like may not be what someone else likes. So with that in mind, I cant tell you "how much salt to add" ( i dont do salt ;) ) Creepylady has a good point, start at low setting work your way up till it tastes good.

Also dual coils are governed by Ohms Law since you are showing 1.8 ohms on the meter/screen it is actually 2 coils at 3.6 each...
heres the math: 1/(1/X + 1/X ....) X = the value of each single coil. to reverse the equation for a 2 coil setup, multiply the reading by 2 ( this only works for 2 coils of equal value) to find out what the value of each coil is
