hi,

Is there a general FAQ about e-cigs - brands, refillables, what's available in what country - I'm in the UK. I've been reading this forum and am trying to get my head around everything.

I have a couple of Super E's from the electronic cigarette co in UK and am wondering what else is out there, having read about pen styles and Screwdrivers

Flying out to LAX from LHR tomorrow as well - main reasonfor getting E-Cig and just read that Virgin do NOT allow it on plane so will probaby be viewed as having a wee infection from nipping opff for a crafty one in the loo so often. I'll let you know results when I get back - unless I've been thrown off the plane!!

My kids think it's hilarious now I can puff away indoors instead of hovering with an umbrella in the garden or freezing in the snow. I just sit there trying to do smoke rings - no success yet!

And what about refillables and USB pass throughs??? What the 'eck are these???? Aaargh - brain hurting from trying to assimilate too much data!!

This is a site run by one of the mods here. He's got a lot of good info on there for new users.

There's HEAPS out there. M-401s (Pilot and EVO) the DSE901 (mini e-cig style) Pen styles (classic) and many more.

(MANY more exist but these are the ones I though of off the top of my head)

Once you've looked at some of those, check the video reviews section of this site for information on the various types and people's impressions of them. Make sure to take everything you read with a grain of salt because there is some rampant fanboy-ism out there (naturally) and some people tend to preach a bit too hard.

Be careful. The smoke detectors in planes are pretty sensitive and the vapor may set them off.

Refill liquids are used to refill your cartridges when they're empty (as long as you don't use one of the few e-cigs that use disposable carts). They come in all kinds of flavors, strengths and qualities.

Check out the e-liquid review section of this site for more information on liquids.

USB pass-throughs are devices that replace the battery of your e-cig when you're near a USB port. You plug it in to the usb port, screw it in to the atomizer where the battery goes and, viola! mega power for your smoke.

May not answer ALL of your questions, but should give you a start anyway. As far as what's available in the UK, you could check the supplier section of the forums...sorry, not sure who exactly is located where yet.

A USB passthrough is simply a battery-type adapter to allow you to connect an atomizer and cartridge directly to your USB port. Simply screw the atomizer on the passthru, plug it in, and vape away.

Refillables I think generally refers to cartridges that can be refilled or "topped off" using a bottle of Eliquid. Some model Ecigs are easier to do this with than others.

Yeah a USB pass through is just a connector either through your computer or any other USB port!!
