Hey guys,
I've been smoking since I was 17 and unfortunately, most of my family smokes or has smoked cigarettes heavily in the past. I quit smoking here and there, usually for a year at a time, but quitting hasn't really worked out for me. I kept stumbling across this forum as I looked for an e-cig brand to invest in, and decided to go with a Joye ego-tank from the vapor room with a side of green apple (thanks for the coupon codes by the way!).

I'm really looking forward to trying something that doesn't leave me feeling crappy and smelling horrible! I remember I quit cigarettes last time because of a chronic (bloody :() cough. I love hookah and I imagine vaping (using that word for the first time) is a little bit similar. I am a motorcycle and racetrack enthusiast, and smoking on-site is not only inconvenient, it is dangerous (fuel vapors, flammables, and the carbon monoxide from smoking analog plays with my vision a little bit).

Well, I'm going to stop there and let you guys chime in. Who's from the same boat? What do you guys think about the Joye ego-T, and is this going to be awesome or what? :)

I've heard good and bad things about the ego-t (ego tank). I hope you like it, though if you don't then I would recommend trying a two piece system out. V4L has some excellent Kr808d-1, that are basically a battery, and an atomizer plus cartridge in one. Now that being said in order to get your ego-t to work well, I would read up on it, and watch all the youtube videos on it that you can, so that your experience goes well. I now with proper maintenance, usually you can get a good result out of the ego-t. Its a big step your taking and I wish you the best of luck. If you have any questions, feel free to pm and I'll help you as best as I can. And don't be afraid to post questions, a lot of people on this forum are very helpful, and without them I wouldn't be where I am today!

I would highly recommend the volcano inferno video, that they did themselves. Its essentially the same system, and they do a great job explaining how it works and how to maintain it.

Just a word of caution... not to down Volcano... could just be me could be a temporary thing but right now I don't recommend getting anything but kits from Volcano. I've had missing and/or wrong items in both my orders but I got parts not kits. On the upside Volcano is fairly good about making it right and I'm pretty satisfied with the performance.

I know exactly how you feel. I smoked since I was 11 and found that quitting was almost damn near IMPOSSIBLE for me. Until I got my ego-t type b. All it took was one night of me thinking about me quitting since I'm pretty damn spontaneous. But the convenience of the ego-t type b and the hit itself made it a LOT easier. I've quit for a week now and proud of it!

As others have said. Just read through the threads here and check out youtube for reviews. Pick something that you can live with and your good to go.

Welcome and good luck

That's what I started with and I LOVE it. I have been smoke free for a week now so it definitely did its job. I have been recommending it like crazy. I need to get on the affiliate program for sure. The smoking ban passed in South Dakota in November so now the ecig market is really hitting here.

Hi and welcome! I love my ego-t. I haven't had any problems with the tank system. I can fill some tanks and be set for the day. It's easy. Most problems (dry hits and leaking) seem to be caused by the wick not being at the proper height. Dry hits are easy to fix (push the wick down very gently and just about 1/16 of an inch with a paper clip), but flooding (which leads to leaking) requires taking the atty apart. There are videos out there for that. I've never had a leak (and I chain vape to the extreme and get my atties so hot they almost burn my hands, so I don't think the theory that the atty getting hot leads to leaking is true), so either I've been lucky or my supplier has awesome atties. Good luck!

I'd be interested in the lanyard for sure. I tried the ego-T today (ordered from the vapor room, they definitely put the effort in for even a first time customer!). The toffee flavor is in the tank right now, and it's pretty good, but slightly irritating on the back of my throat. I heard that the primer on the atomizer takes a while to come off and was wondering if that's what it might be. Otherwise, it did the trick in a few minutes.. wow!

Hello and welcome....I use the eGo t's and love them....Have had very little problems.....Before using a new one, I blow thru holding a tissue at the battery end. This helps get the primer fluid out and I take a q-tip and wipe the inside really good. Never had a bad taste. the bad taste should go away on the 2nd or 3rd tank full. On the juice you ordered-- do you know the pg/vg ratio? If it is 100% pg then that could account for the throat hit.

Take it easy and don't get too much nic....and up the intake on the fluids you drink....vaping drys you out big time. I am glad it is going better for you. The way the body absorbs the nic from ecigs is different than smoking a analog. Probably why you didn't feel anything at first.

Thanks sas :) taking a water break now. This is the start of something good. It's funny because I studied biomedical engineering and atomizers in particular (to deliver a fine spray of chemotherapeutic degradable biomaterial directly to the tumor site). I don't think this thing is using that kind of atomizer, but it is pretty cool!

Is it okay to leave the ego-T assembled for a few hours at a time? I assume it's only on while the button is pressed.

I leave mine on all the time. Yes the battery only turns on when the button is pushed, but a very small drain does occur...because the atty will pull a little. I really have never noticed a difference tho.
Because of the liquids used in ecigs, it take very little heat to vaporize them. Liken it to a fog machine.
Glad you are liking the ecigs.... wait untiil your smell and taste start to come back....its a wonderful thing.
