Not sure about what you're using but if your "battery" does not have variable wattage then it's a bad idea to use it with a tank that needs such a device. Without control that battery is just firing at the same voltage until it dies which could be why you're burning coils. If you can post a picture here i'd suggest you do so as that way others could help you more,as i have no clue what that halo battery is (last time i heard about that brand they made cheap cigalikes sold in convenience stores).

On another note welcome to ecf :)

NB: the crown tank is what we call a dtl (direct lung inhale) which does not replicate smoking at all it's another style of vaping entirely. To replicate a more cigarette like way of vaping you'd need something called a mtl (mouth to lung) device. Uwell might make coils for that purpose but then again like i said i've got no clue about both.

Hi Mike, and welcome to ECF.

I see that the Halo Twister goes to 30 W and has a bottom limit of 0.2 ohms, so you're really on the edge of what's workable there. You might have better results in general with another mod.

But on to your problem. Since this happens in the morning, what do you do with your setup overnight? Is the tank empty, or lying on its side? Is the juice covering the wicking holes? Do you ever get dry hits at any other time?

If it's empty or the wicking holes are uncovered overnight, then you just need to give it some time for the juice to saturate the wick before you fire it up. If that's not it, let me know what you're doing overnight and we'll see if someone here can spot the issue.

Good luck!

Hi I'm Like.
I recently started vaping. Started using a halo twister battery and a crown II tank with a .25 coil.
Problem I'm having. When I fire up my vape early in the morning, i get no cloud. Just a dry burnt hit.
How can I solve this?

The crown two tank doesn't come with that battery... that's your first problem, the second is the fact the coils they ship that starter kit out with are .5 ohm, which is probably the lower limit that battery is capable of.. .25 is most likely too low.

You need a mod, if your wanting to use tanks like the crown. Then you don't want to lay your tank on its side all night but rather keep it straight up and down as much as possible anyway.

I was thinking your coil was drying out overnight, to start in the a.m. I might take some LONG, slow, priming puffs (where you inhale juice into your coil without firing it) may help you avoid the a.m. dry hit. This re-wicks juice into your coil, where you need it. Sloshing juice around is a good idea, too.

You need a better mod for that tank.
