New users first tube mod

Was working on a electronics project and had to desolder a part, and realised the tube looked nice, so made my first simple battery tube.

Unfortunately scratched the blue off the tube a bit at the top, kind of ruins the look a little.

Takes a 17670, was a little too narrow for a 18650.

I think I'll make it a touch switch next.

Just scratch the whole thing now. Or wrap with with vinyl. Still looks great for a first shot. Nice work!

That looks great!!

I scratched the middle of a pretty blue battery - gonna try a gold paint pen and doodle over the scratch.

An auto shop like Pep Boys might have some touch-up paint to match your blue tube.

Very nice. After trying a buddy's 6v screwdriver the other night I'm starting to get the itch to try something like this, though I promised my wife I wouldn't.
