I recently got a Vamo v2 with a liquidator tank and absolutely love the vamo but am having trouble figuring out all the tricks to it.....like do I need to just use 1 battery(18350) or stack them?

Do I need to run in no.1("mean" I think or no.2(rms)....what is the difference in the 2? Pros? Cons?

are my cartos that came with the liquidator dual or single coil? I don't even know what brand they are!?!?

Also I have no idea if I should adjusting using volts or watts or no1 or no2 for best performance?
i just want more flavor ans a little more throat hit...vapor is fine.

1 more thing, if anyone has a flanged carto to spare or sample bottle of menthol juice pleeeeaaasssseee throw this way, especially the flanged carto....sorry for the rant but just dropped 160$ on equipment and am extremely frustrated!!!

thanks in advance!

Change it to the #2 mode (RMS). Change it to variable Watts, and set it like Steve suggested. Put your carto on and hold the small right button down and it'll show on the read-out what the oHm rating is for that particular carto. Hold the small left button down and it'll show you the voltage of your battery.

In general.... Do not stack batteries. The Vamo prefers unprotected batteries and has built in protection. There are several threads related to stacking batteries. You really do not need to if you have both 18650 and 18350 batteries.

Mode no.2 is variable wattage. It is the reason most people get the Vamo. There are aready a ton of inexpensive VV mods available, Vamo was one of the first to offer VW at a low price.

The balance of you post was related to getting more flavor and throat hit. I generally run the Vamo between 7 and 8 watts (no. 2 mode)Carto tanks are great for flavor and throat hit, check out 'Baditudes' blog posts for good information. E-Cigarette Forum - Baditude - Blogs What nic level are you using? You can bump it up a notch for better throat hit. You will also get better results by adjusting you PG/VG ratios.

Just want to correct this; Mode # 2 is RMS mode - the default and recommended setting is RMS. RMS provides a more accurate voltage output. Keep pressing either of mini buttons more than 10sec until LCD screen displays N01 or N02. If you see N01, it means that AVG starts. If you see N02, it means RMS starts.

Here's a quick & dirty run through of the Vamo button settings: VAMO APV Version 2 | VMax,APV and Variable Voltage Mods | eSmoker Online

Good luck..

Definitely use NO2 Mode.
My preference is using Volts instead of Watts but I always use same resistance tank cartos so no adjusments are required.
You just need to play with the Voltage/Wattage settings until you find what is right for your needs.
I stack the 18350's...... if you use good batteries there's no concern.
The link provided by Caridwen in Post #4 clearly explains the buttons and their functions.

the benefit to variable wattage vs voltage is that as you change tanks/cartos resistance- the unit should give a similar vape- as the end heat should remain similar. the vamo is a nice device, just wish it had ego threading to kill the need for an adaptor when using the t3 tanks

You can run E-Go threaded devices on the Vamo without adapters - I run EVODs & Kanger T3s on mine all the time....

One of the downsides of the Vamo is a cheap 510 connector. I usually suggest an adaptor even if it is just to save wear and tear on the Vamo threads. One on the cautions is not to tighten down the adaptors too tight or it can damage the connector gasket. There are several kinds of adapters, here is the kind I use - 510 Battery to eGo Atomizer Adapter

To further protect the Vamo threads, would there be any point in using a bit of plumbers (teflon) tape on the Vamo-Adapter connection?

Uhmm..I'm pretty sure your vamo wouldn't work then.. it's an electrical connection and telfon is non-conductive.
