VAMO-CartoTank Help

I have a VAMO that I love. I normally use a SmokeATech XL cartoermizer on it but recently go a carto tank to put on it. I think the guy at the B&M store I bought it from said it was a Nova(?)
When I put it on my VAMO the draw is really really hard. More often than not I end of with a mouth full of juice. I have tried putting in a new carto thinking the one I was using was bad but that did not help. I have tried setting the volts all the way down to 3 and gradually adjusting them up, same thing with the watts, nope nothing has helped. The tank works great with my KGO 1100amh but I cannot get it to work with my VAMO.
Do I need to get a higher ohm cartermizer? I think the ones I am using now are single punched, 1.5.

Any tips you can give me would be great. Thank you so much!

sounds like an Air flow problem?
Try pulling your tank up just a bit so you have just a slight space between your Vamo and the base of the tank. The Vamo dosnet have air slots on the outer ring so if you push the tank tight down onto the top of the Vamo it will constrict air flow.
