Hey guys, so i just got my new vamo v2 and im curious about one thing, i dont have any idea what RMS is but i see that its the best setting to be at, my cartomizer is a 3.1 ohm as my Vamo tells me, so in rms mode what should i do, use voltage mode or wattage mode, and if i should go wattage, what should i set it at, i have no idea of how wattage works

Also make sure the vamo is set to NO2 its less accurate in NO1 to make the change hold either plus or minus button for about 15 seconds untill it changes the vamo fires higher than set when in NO1 mode and mine also fires for about half a sec after released its normal as long as it doesnt continue for more than a second its ok

I hope this shows up right (I have never done this before, this is a quote from another thread). I do not have a Vamo, but I have read this suggestion a few times. Maybe it's helpful???

Linked Below is a pretty complete and video that should answer your questions about the Vamo and it's functions, it's kinda long but some good info in it. In short RMS is the more accurate setting of the two and once you set it in RMS mod you don't have to bother with that again.

As far as where to set it, preference has alot to do with that but many find their sweet spot in the 7 to 8 watt range. I'd suggest going low and work your way up till you find what works for you. If you're in VV mode then 7 watts on a 3.1 atty would be right at 4.7v so that would probably be a good starting point, you'll probably work your way up a little from there....or maybbe not, it's preference.

Also, here's a ohms law calculator you can play with that will show you how volts relates to watts but if you can adjust the wattage...which you can, you'll probably find that easier than adjusting voltage anyway, plus it'll be consistent between attys and cartos in wattage mode.

i wanna learn more about wattage in that chart it says for a 3.1 ohm go to 6.25 watts for optimal vape but it seems pretty tasteless in my opinion, am i reading the chart correctly?

\what would u guys do with the numers i gave u

3.1ohm carto in a tank
RMS setting on the vamo, what wattage would u recommend
Well, you could go up to 8 watts.

am i correct when people say if u put it in rms mode, then go to VW mode i dont have to worry about the volts cause the vamo will automatically set the volts ? or do i have to set the wattage and the voltage?

You cannot set the volts and wattage. They are a function of one another. In either mode, you set ONLY volts or watts.

cause i have no idea whats a good wattage number to use with the 3.1 ohm carto

Like has been said, the ohms of your carto doesn't matter in vw mode. A 1.5 ohm and a 3.1 ohm cartos will give the same results if set to 8 watts. The VAMO adjusts the voltage to the correct amount based on what it reads as the resistance of your carto. I suggest starting at 6 watts and goind up .5 at a time until it's what you like.

not to sound redundant but I use mine at 7-8 watts regardless of the ohms of the coil...seems the sweet spot for Bobas in a Vivi Nova....when I change to a nova with a 50/50 i back it down to 7...and its good to go....ALOT easier to do than try to chase the ohms and adjust the volts....singed a few 1.8 Nova coils doing that...so I have learned that VW is the way to go
