New vapemail - RSST Smoktech RBA!

I literally got my RSST in the mail 30 minutes ago.


Coiled a pre-cut 1.8 ohm wire (nichrome - waiting for kanthal in the mail) using a drill bit - stuck the coil and drill bit in the wick hole and fastened the positive and negative posts.


Using a cotton ball or qtip end, I snugly but gently twisted in a short segment and cut it off like an icecream cone just about the height of the positive post. (auto-dripper method)


drilled out the airhole coz it's a little small.

How much bigger did you make you air hole and what was the difference like? I have an rsst myself and made mention on the size of the air hole.

Congrats on the rsst and first build!

The rsst stock air hole sucks. I drilled mine out too 1/16 and got better. Might go bigger to 5/64 next.

I had an rsst a few days ago, and it totally stripped out the bottom cap when I went to put it together. I sent it back and picked up an AGA T2 it is alot heavier tho.

I've been doing some experimenting with my RSST's and airhole sizes.

Kept one stock hole size - result way too tight a draw.
Drilled the next one out to 1.5mm - much better vapour production and flavour.
Final one drilled out to 2mm - I'm sat in a permanent fog, but the flavour is marginally down.

If I had a 1.75mm drillbit, I think that would be perfect.

I just drilled my rsst out to 1/16 which is American for 1.5mm lol. Wow what a difference!

I wouldn't go any bigger than 1/16 though. Unless your going with a sub-ohm build. I get loads of vapour and great flavour from the 1/16 airhole with any coil down to about 1.0 ohm, 1.0 - 1.5 ohms seem to be the sweet spot for me.

my coil build is at 1.8 right now and im vaping on 4.4v. Getting great flavor and vapor!
