I am new to vaping and I was doing some research and I think VG is the best option for me. The reason I am starting to vape is to just do tricks and it just looks kinda cool. I am actually looking forward to keep vaping to myself. I really don't care about flavor too much, soooo. I also am looking to make big clouds. I don't like throat pain at all and VG comes from plant oils making me feel safer. I am a 100% anti nicotine fan, and I am gonna stay that way so.
Here are my questions.
Could I go to the grocery store and just go buy a bottle of VG, and then just fill my vape with that?
Do I need to add distilled water, or anything to avoid build up?
VG is healthy and has no nicotine alone right?
I really do just wanna blow clouds, I don't really like the idea of "Fitting In".

The VG in the grocery store and VG used in commercial e liquid or the VG available from online suppliers should be the same stuff for practical purposes. How 100% vg will vape might depend the atomizer you use. Some pre made coil heads might not be able to flow 100% VG to the coil fast enough. An rda shouldn't have that problem. Adding a small percent of water would thin the liqued so it flows better. 60% is the highest concentration of VG I've used. Others here may have experience with 100% VG and give you some pointers.

There is no such thing as 100% "safe". It appears that vaping can be "lower risk" than smoking.

There can be risk associated with big clouds depending on how you go about it. If you are learning to ski you don't start on the steepest hill you can find. Pushing the maximum amount of power to make the biggest possible clouds has risks associated with buring liquid or overheating batteries. Ignore those risks at your peril.

Go to the local pharmacies, and ask them if they have it and if not, can they order it in for you. If you want clouds, you will want a rebuildable drip atomizer, so you don't need to mix anything with your VG to thin it.

Twistedmesses, MutationX, and Tsunami are nice to build on. There are others, but it depends a lot on your equipment as to what are best for you.

Okay but I have another question, why do people add nicotine if they aren't ex-smokers

nope, not usually. Besides, nicotine will interfere with your cloud tricks. You have to practice and the nicotine will make you sick if you vape steady like you do when you practice tricks or clouds. Besides, if you don't smoke and don't need nicotine, don't start. It is just another expense. I get pure VG for $11.00 for 500ml at the pharmacy. 50ml of nicotine cost me around $50 including shipping. Why bother if you don't need it, right?

Yeah... I just want VG and maybe a little distilled water.

That's fine. The water will thin your clouds though, which is why i suggested a rebuildable drip atomizer. No need to thin the vg. I have some builds and such on my youtube channel. A couple wire builds, and showing clouds from a couple different atomizers. I use the same username as I do here.
Wow thanks, I feel a lot better about vaping. I'll also check out your YouTube channel

Hi kiunvapez,

sofarsogood has some really good points. Word to the wise.

100 percent vg works for drippers. I use 85 percent vg 15 percent pg.
That also works in tanks. 90 percent vg, 10 percent distilled water also works.

Healthy is really the wrong word when it comes to vaping. Not very harmful...
I'll say one thing about it.. I haven't had a cold or lung infection since I started. The one I had when I started (bit of a lung infection) cleared up in 3 days.

You might have to ask the people who do that. The psychoactive effect of nicotine is about the same as caffine. The drinks with caffine aren't particularly good for you. If you never drink them it's better for you. I smoked for many years. Nic in my vape made it easier to switch. It appears that nic is medicinal for some people with specific medical conditions which might explain their attachment. May be I'm a nut case.

If what interests you is clouds then focus on that. May be the manliest vape is pure VG without any of that other sissy stuff.

Who said they do?
There is a reason they sell 0mg ejuice. Also, you will never see a vape trickster or cloud chaser using nicotine for tricks or cloud chucking. Oh, I can blow clouds with the nicotine ejuice I vape on, but when I am practicing or going for clouds, I use pure PG.
The main thing though, is once you start using nicotine, it is hard to stop. It is much easier to not start using it in the first place. Besides which, nicotine withdrawl makes you jittery and cranky. It also interrupts your sleep, when you wake in the middle of the night for a niccy fix. It also causes that throat burn as well. Which is why I started making my own ejuice, I found 3mg to be to strong now, and 0 mg not strong enough, so I am mixing at 2mg, then eventually 1mg and eventually 0mg full time.

To be honest, if you want a bit more than the straight vg gives you, try the flavors. I usually use 20pg/80vg for my normal vaping. But you can get max vg as well, or mix your own at close to 100% vg. You have to order the flavors in a vg base though.

If you really want to start taking a drug, nicotine is a drug, nobody can really stop you, but the question you ask yourself is.. is that the smart choice? Pretty much every ex-smoker here will tell you, they wish they had never started in the first place. Fact is, it is much easier to say no to the first one, than it is to the last one.
Am I trying to talk you out of using nicotine? Damn right I am. I smoked for 20 years and am still addicted to nicotine after 7 months vaping. Mind you I am down to 3mg, but I gotta have that 3mg still. And of course.. the less money you spend on nicotine ejuice, the more money you have for shinies and bling. I have a V3 Flip Mod clone.. if I didn't need to spend the money on nic juice, I would buy the authentic 24k gold plated V3 flip.. retails around $250.00 or so...

Now which is more appealing... nicotine or that mod with the So Horney atomizer?

Mind you, that Mechanical Mod is for intermediate to advanced users. I vaped for 6 months before even touching my first Mech. By the time I did, I knew how to build and measure coils, how to calculate resistance, which batteries to use, how long to fire the mech, what to do in case of a short or venting. One thing you will notice, is that I will never tell you what resistance to build a coil at. That is personal and up to you, you build where you are comfortable. I will tell you not to go below a safe resistance, ever.. hell, I'll scrap a coil if the resistance is off by 0.05 ohm. I'll vape at 0.10 but not at 0.095. Oh I probably COULD, but you have to set your limit and stick to it. I mean really.. even if you only end up venting the battery.. 23cents to rebuild a coil is cheaper than $12.00 for a new battery, right?

Remember, I am not telling you to run out and buy a mech mod, you can just as easily buy a 300w regulated mod. That one in the video just happens to be on my "wish I didnt have to spend all the money on nicotine" list, and when I get to 0mg, I'll get it. Btw. A 300w mod IS on my christmas list *lol* At least wifey knows what I want this year. Usually I don't tell her anything. I'm easy, I like anything she gets me. Secret of happiness.. have goals, but be happy with what you have in the mean time.

Just order VG on Amazon. Super cheap and quick shipping. If throat hit and pain is an issue; make sure you prime your coils really well, and strait VG probably wont wick right in much other then a dripper- so you need a few tools to do that. I use precision screw drivers most of the time. But just look up some coil building videos on Youtube - there a boat load.

Welcome and glad you joined. If everyone fitted in, it would be a lesser world.

Maybe this is a silly question, but what tricks other then smoke rings are there?

well, there are ring, and machine gun rings (they come out in fast succession) and doughnuts, and jellyfish, and pushing rings, bending rings, dragon exhale, bulls ring (blow a ring and french inhale it), there is shooting rings through rings, fog bubbles (which is my cats favorite), tornados, and you can exhale into a cup and pour it into another like milk. Just as a few examples. Check youtube, there are a ton of them.
