Hi Jake
Most new vapors start off with tobacco flavored liquids... at least until you are completely off the analogs.
I personally use ECBlends and have been using them exclusively for over a year. I mix at 70pg/30vg and 24mg nic. I do not recommend cool hit in anything fruity. Don't give up... take advantage of the 5ml samples and try different flavors/blends till you find what you like. I happen to be a huge fan of Dragons Blood but it needs to steep for a couple weeks to reach it's best flavor. I do all my flavors in XF and I always do a 5 ml sample before buying a bigger bottle. Some of my favs are... Irish Cream, blueberry, peaches n cream, banana nut bread, apple pie, Coconut Banana Cream Pie, Eggnog.
I'm also a huge fan of the DIY feature and mix alot of my own juice. It's definitely trial and error... I've thrown many a bottle away... but after a while I found my tastebuds seem to prefer chocolate or fruit. And the end result was well worth it!! (I'd be happy to share some of my recipes with you, if you are interested PM me.)
I would also recommend getting a bottle of sweetener... you can find this in the SUPPLIES tab. That way if you get one that you think would be better if it was just a little sweeter, you can add a drop or two. And it is potent so just a drop or two will do ya
gotVapes.com also has really good juices called FLUX and also offer a 6ml sample of most of their flavors.
As far as equipment goes.. my theory is the simpler, the better. I started out with the small 180mah cig look a like battery with pre filled cartos. After about 4 months I graduated to liquid and CE2's that worked on my 510 threaded cig like battery. I had extra chargers and a usb hub and kept 4 charging at all times. It was only a couple months ago that I upsized to an Ego battery. I love it and will never go back! 1100mah lasts me a day and a half. I've also started getting CE4's, CE5's, and dual coil tanks.
It's really all a matter of preference and what YOU are comfortable with. I feel having the cig look a like when I first started was a huge help to me... it felt natural. I've been analog free since March 1st, 2012.
I hope this helps!... There are lots of great folks here who are always willing to share their stories, advice, and what works for them.
Take Care and Good Luck!!!
