New Vaper Having Problem With kr808d-1

Hello all, I've been vaping for almost two weeks now and lurking ECF for a little longer than that. I purchased a kr808d-1 manual battery, 5 empty cartos and a pcc from litecigusa and bought e-juice from rockstarvapor. I'm a bit strapped for cash so I didn't order a spare battery or a usb/wall charger (planning on it in the near future).

Everything had been working well since purchasing until the past few days. Often, Ill vape once, which works once, then the next attempt the battery will flash 10 times, which I assume means it needs recharging. However, sometimes Ill leave the battery charging in the PCC for hours and take it out for use and the same thing happens, usable one time, then 10 flashes the next time and no vapor. Same thing happened after charging overnight. Other times I can leave it to charge for a bit and it works for quite a while.

I have tried various cartos with the battery and the result is the same with each of them. Does anyone know what the problem is? Thanks in advance for your help.

When u connect to charge the light should flash 3 or 4 time signaling that is chargring..Does it have this flash when charging?

When I had this problem on first starting vaping on my 808d1 from v4l,the ejuice was getting on my pcc screw in part I took a q_tip gently wipe out where u screw it on..I continued doing this everytime I charge..

You might want to try cleaning your contacts both on the battery end and on the charger itself. You can use isoproply acohol on a qtip and clean really well including the threads...you'd be surprised how much 'junk' gets accumulated and sometimes interferes with the connection to the charger.

I would also suggest ordering a few more spare batteries and an extra charger and wall adapter...it'll make life a lot easier in future!

Evidently sometimes the "posts" in the battery dont quite touch. I really hope this helps, I am still pretty new and this is my first attempt at helping someone.

I just cleaned the contacts of the battery and pcc, nothing was visible but the qtip i cleaned it with turned blackish so obviously something was there. Also, the battery led never has flashed when i attach it to the pcc, it just goes on and stays on the whole time it's charging. It does however flash three times when i detach it from the pcc. Hopefully cleaning the contacts was the trick though, thanks for the help.

Let me know how it goes, I am having the exact same problem with mine...I am trying to send it back for a replacement actually, but if this can be fixed, so much the better. Like yours, mine is pretty much brand new.

Just don't use sopping wet alcohol on the end since there are soles in the end of KR808D-1 manuals too.

Also one other thing - if you hold the button down really long on any ecig it will enter a safety cut-off. During a cutoff the battery will flash when you press the button and not heat the carto. After some safety time limit has expired the battery will work normally again.

I find occasionally when I am vaping heavily doing drags right after one another I forget to let up the button and pause between drags and since I held it down through a couple of drags, I trigger the cut-off.

And ditto to what was said above- if there is liquid in your battery connection it can also trigger the cutoff because it is being shorted. And always remember to clean the end of your battery before putting it in a PCC or charger.

Well, cleaned it yesterday and left it to charge overnight, no such luck Seems ill be looking for a replacement.
