I am a new vaper...only for about 3 weeks. I have been doing great on the non-smoking thing and I want to eventually decrease my nicotine level to zero. I do however want an easy way to vape...I don't want to get complicated at all. I currently have a standard e-cig (the Buck Naked Express):

I have read that with 100% VG liquids, this tank will get clogged fairly quickly. I am looking for a tank that will work with all variations of liquids with little maintenance. I have been looking at a tank (Kanger Mini Pro Tank 2):

Will this be a better option for me? I really want my vape experiences to be simple.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

The mini protank or the protank would be a good choice. The T3 and MT3 are polycarbonate plastic and prone to clouding/cracking if a 'cracker juice' is put into them.

I am definitely looking for a glass (pyrex) tank because I want to try some of the citrus flavors and I have been told that they should not be used in plastic tanks.

Welcome to ecf and congrats on the three weeks. Sounds like you are off to a good start. I didn't quite understand if you were wanting to use 100% vg because of allergies or just something you prefer. The vg juices are sweet and smooth. I prefer the throat hit so I usually mix around 50/50 pg and vg. I feel like the darker juices as well as the tobacco flavored will get gunky with any percentage. But then there are ways around that too. You can do a dry burn to clean your coils. Some excellent YouTube videos on that. When you get into it more, you will find that coils are super easy to rebuild yourself and quite economical. I say this because if I can do it, anyone can.

It is wonderful to find a place like ecf that you can get answers to every question you come across. So many wonderful people here that have helped me and become friends. Good luck to you on your continued success with vaping. So glad you are here. :)

P.S. ProTank and ProTank minis, you just can't go wrong. I love them.

100% VG is going to clog anything you use in a short period of time.
The trick for you will be to find something with either cheap replacement heads or that you can rebuild if that interests you :)
Protanks are nice enough as far as that goes.

Welcome aboard the forum!:)

The Kanger Mini Pro Tank 2 is a rebuildable tank...I just need new heads right?

Thank you!!! I thought I was a bit sensitive to the PG (I am currently using a 70PG/30VG blend), but now I think it was my normal spring allergies. But...I did get some samples of 100% VG liquids that I want to try out and they are entirely organic...so I figured I would stick with them if I liked them. What is a dry burn? And with the ProTank Minis...I would just need new heads right?

True. The Kanger PT2 & the mini are rebuildable, and you can buy new heads for it. You'll get a better vape out of it tho if you rebuild & wick the heads yourself.

I want to keep it simple. Too much rebuilding and rewicking is not for me. I don't think I will mind replacing the heads...but too much more than that is not a good idea for me.

I just got the kamry X6 adjustable volts with three settings and that's a pretty good vaporizer for someone on a budget. I'm new to vaping too. I have completely quit smoking! I like the adjustable volts because for certain flavors you can go up or down to get the flavor just right. And I'm on a tight budget so for around 42.00 dollars this kamry vaporizer is wonderful. You might consider, no matter which brand you choose to get a vaporizer with the adjustable voltage! That's a great feature to have.

So many things to choose from....I just want simple and semi maintenance free. What does the voltage have to do with the flavor...I mean, how does it adjust the flavor? And do you know what steeping is?

To be clear, the Kanger Protank mini can be rebuilt but it is not a rebuildable...........

Personally, I also wanted the easiest set-up I could get. I don't want a lot of trouble or maintenance or anything. I have the regular size Protank II with an Aerotank base is I have stayed with it because of its simplicity and performance. I didn't love the Protank Mini......... I use 70v/30p mixes. Without getting into a battery conversation for now and just sticking with the topper..................If you prefer the 100% vg so much that it justifies buying new coils for the Protank on a frequent basis, go for it. Sun Vapers sells Protank coils for $5.79 a 5 pack and that is the cheapest REAL Kanger coils I have found. I'd stay away from the knock-offs.

I have recommended this before but I keep 4-5 in a rotation and remove my coil once a day. When I have three, I soak them in vodka for a few hours, rinse them with hot water and let them dry overnight. I don't do anything else and my coils have lasted me 2-3 months. With higher vg, your results will likely vary but the over-maintenance and lack of anything substantial to do may be worth it to you.

Just tossing them when they go bad and running them until they do will not be very economical but from one person who wants really easy to another, the vodka soak as described is easy and works.

By coil...do you mean the heads of the tanks? Geez..I am so confused. Why can't it be as easy as cleaning the tank, putting in liquid, and vaping?
