Hi, I'm still relatively new to vaping and I have questions about cartos. I'm starting to think cartos might be what is giving me issues, while I was blaming the juices and other things. I use the word issues as a figure of speech... no real trouble here. Just a learning curve I guess. ....By the way, I'm using Boge 3.0ohm (std res) cartos, and Boge 3.0ohm XL cartos on a Provari mini at about 4.5-5.0 volts.

How often should I change to a new carto? Currently, after I fill a carto the first time, I'll basically use it until it shorts out and my Provari mini gives me an "E1" error. Then I toss it and grab a new one. I think I'm a heavy vaper. I don't know what is average, but a after one "cigarette break" at work (7-10min) I'll start getting a dry, weird taste, and refill it when I go back to my office. I take about four breaks a day, plus lunch, and about a vape every hour that I'm home. All total, I'd guess I refill the same carto 12-13 time a day. I do this each day, and really don't change cartos until I get an error. Is this right? Should I be changing them after "X" uses? or just play it by taste? ...I don't think the later works, because I just quit smoking and my tastes are all over the place from day to day. Evidently I don't know what anything really tastes or smells like... lol

Also, how full should I fill the cartos? I heard somewhere the Boge's hold ~20 drops, so that is what I count out the for the first fill, then after that I go for the "snow-cone" look. Trouble is, they are often, well... "gurgly?" after filling them. They don't draw well and taste kind of bad until they start drawing well. If I don't fill them up that much though, they start tasting dry and weird before I'm "done". I tried carrying two and swapping out, but aren't they supposed to last longer than an analogue? I'd smoke two analogues in the same amount of time...

I have some CE2's on the way to try, and as soon as they are back in stock, I am going to get some CE3/Phoenix's and a Vivi Nova to try as well. I've only tried dripping once before on a 510 atty that came with my starter kit back then, and it tasted like an electrical fire. Never tried again.

I like my Boge's but I'm thinking I might be happier if I was using them differently or using something else entirely. Any thoughts, suggestions, or advice? And what is your delivery method?

Thanks!

With cartos, I would keep a bottle of liquid with me and drip more liquid into the cartos every hour or when I would think about it to keep the carto wet. Doing this some cartos would last me a couple weeks. If you really like the boge carto I think you might want to start looking into a tank for them since you have a provari. This way you could keep using your boge cartos that you like, by punching a hole in the carto and placing it in the tank it will keep the carto wet for you. There are many tanks out there, so you have to be careful what height tank you get so that it will fit the cartos you have, some tanks are for the dual coil and extra long cartos and some tanks are for the regular sized cartos.

A few tank links:
The Phiniac Tank - Phiniac Rugged Pyrex Glass Tanks
J-TANK
Big Daddy 5ml Tanks & Tubes : Big Daddy Vapor

Thanks for the links! I'm enjoying looking.

So you say some cartos last you a couple of weeks... so how do you know it's time for a new one?
