Well not really a crisis. Corona virus is taking care of that.

I know there are a huge amount of variables however pretty flexible
Just after a few tips before I take the first breath.
Currently Smoking about 15 cigs a day mid strength not sure what mg??
Device, >flex but I like the idea of the small container thingy ( remember I am new to this )
Why vape >$$ payed enough taxes to this Gov , health 58 yo , cause I can .
Will require juice with nic not sure what mg ?? Sorry.
Not big on flavoured. As close to the real thing the better.
Consumables. Extra stuff batteries etc etc etc. ???
Suppliers with good after sales support.
Storage of juice supplies. Hot climate.
Thanks again.

Although i'm not great with starter kits there's a few things people usually recommend to newbies :
For a simple longterm setup something like the zenith might be suitable Kroma-A & Zenith Kit – A Better Vape Experience

Or for something even smaller the Aspire Breeze nxt Aspire Breeze NXT - Aspire® Official Site

Both (and any other kits) need coils that you can get either at local shops near you, or online through various retailers (Only do fruity flavors so can't help ya there)

As for juice mgs, i'd highly advise you to try a couple different ones in person so you'll be sure. I was a 1 pack a day smoker and started with 15 mg (if you use nicsalts you might want to go higher since it's said to be smoother on the throat).

Probably missing some stuff but more people are gonna give you more shortly.

Any vape you get will be better than smoking. Pods work for some, can be pretty cheap to start, tanks and mods for others. There's plenty out there to choose from. Sorry it doesn't sound like much help, but really all you have to do is dive in and get started.
No worries thanks for that. Like you said anything is better than the current habit and at 50 bucks a pack it’s a no brainer . Thanks again

Hey thanks for that looks like a good choice. Just have to research where to get the juice with Nic . In Australia so not legal OTC . Thanks again

In Sydney here

We generally order from the USA (multiple locations), NZ (last resort as the company that imports form their NZ site is one that sold vapers up the creek to the governement enquiry on liquid nicotine a ways back insisting only vape shops should be allowed liquid nicotine because it was too unsafe for regular people to handle) or China (Hiliq - hiliq.com - i used them for years as did most local people when i vaped with nic (i dont vape nic now))

And as you may know theres talk of closing the loophole that we've enjoyed so far to import our nic. Up till now we were left alone - despite the only legal way to import it was with a GP's prescription for liquid nicotine, which allows you a 3 months supply. Almost no one ever did that though. Greg Hunt is now trying to ban it entirely, guess the Liberal Party likes the cigarette tax revenue too much to let people quit them...

Not wanting to poach users, but you may have more luck on our home (Australian) forum for local input on the nic and locally available gear than you will here. There are a couple of forums in Australia, but the oldest group is now at vapinginaustralia.com (used to be aussievapers.com, but please do NOT go there, we had to leave after the owner failed to maintain the site and it got infected with nasties)

But at the new forum. you'll find the most experienced vapers in Australia

Feel free to join and ask your questions there as well

Hey thanks for that someone I run into said he used
Soulblu NZ so I was going to go down that track.?? Don’t know much about this game ,only thing I know is the Gov is screwing smokers over and trying to promote giving them up by putting the taxes up is in my opinion farcical!

Wasn’t aware of the Hunt /Gov approach to contributing to the “welfare of his country men” What a joke. Just promoting another underworld market Woops blood pressures going up. Now I’m really determined LOL .
Anyway back to the topic. I will join the Australian site as recommended and take it from there.
Still trying to decide on a device had no idea there was so much technology out there and product reviews are doing my head in . Live in regional Qld so where REALLY behind the rest off the world.
Anyway thanks a heap . Glad to read you’ve given the cigs up. That’s the best way to avoid tax I know.
Cheers
