+1 Mini Protank. I recently experienced leaking in one but I found out it was caused by me losing one of the wicks during washing, which created rather big hole right where the liquid sits lol. Dumped that atty and replaced it with another, no problems since.
If you don't want to use clearomizers, there are other options.

They main thing with a PT coil heads, Is to allow the flavor wicks ample time to saturate with juice before that first vape on a fresh coil. When I still used Protanks, I'd let the juice soak in for 15 minutes minimum. Once I started to do that never did a problem occur.

I started on a lava battery and cheapo tank with the dreadlock top wicks, went to a ego twist and kanger tank with the stubby bottom wicks, then bought a 510 from aquavapor with cartomizers for stealth vaping during movies and funerals.. Bought a zmax on a whim with a Protank (Protank collects dust)..
After growing extremely tired of changing atomizers, burping tanks to wick, fluid in my mouth, that RANCID burnt taste, the weird plastic taste, and all the other things I struggled through on evod, T3s and all the other tanks, I bought one of the dual coil smok tech mega whopper tanks with the flat tip and I dribble fluid in it all day and have pain free and CONSISTENT hits all day.... Three days in and very very happy. Was so frustrated to find a tank that didn't aggravate the bajeezus out of me..... I know tank users that will never turn from them, but I love these mega whale cartomizers
