Hi all - just started reading up about vaping and seems like a great way to kick my decade long cigarette habit.

I was wondering what people's general experiences are with indoor vaping? Are there certain liquids that may leave lingering odours?

So far I have been smoking exclusively outside and have gone to great lengths to keep the smell out as much as possible. Indoor vaping sounds rather appealing, especially during the six months of the year of sub-zero temperatures here in lovely Canada.

I vape in the house all the time - never noticed lingering smells. Some juices' vapor has a faint odor, that others can detect, but it dissipates very rapidly.

I vape a lot in the car as well, and people have been saying "it smells like pastry", even when I don't vape pastry flavors, so I guess there is some sweetness that's detectable.

Again, many say vapor is fragrant while you vape, but I really haven't heard of lingering, persistent odors.

I've been vaping for about 9 months now, and its almost always inside. if you dont have a fan on, of course the vape is going to linger. however, the smell of it does not (to a horrible extent, anyway). My parents aren't keen on my habits, and i manage it to do it in the same room as them without noticing, so id say its safe to say there isnt a substantial lingering oder.

My fiance was never a smoker and allows me to vape inside, so she's probably pretty qualified to talk about vaping odors. She has told me that while I am vaping she can pick up a slight fragrance, but doesn't mind because the smells are pleasant and not overpowering. No problems to report with odors lingering longer than 10 minutes or so. The coffee juice that I vape seems to linger the longest (maybe 15 minutes or so?) but its just a lighter version of the smell of brewing coffee.

i vape in the house. i even vape in my parents' house, and my dad is often on oxygen and he has no problems with it at all. and he hates smoke, has never even tried a cigarette. mostly if there is a smell with my vapor, it's generally pleasant. i have had an occasion when someone was bothered by one particular vapor smell, so i just changed flavors, problem solved.

i haven't noticed any kind of lingering smell, though some say it can leave a film on things.

Hi and Welcome!! My husband and I never smoked inside. Now that we vape, it's all indoors. :) He vapes around the house but I limit mine to my office. I can smell his flavors in the rooms he has been in but it doesn't last long. Most of the time I don't even smell anything but right now he is on a cinnamon kick so my house smells like hot balls, LOL!
