Hey ECF,

So I finally decided to quit smoking (hopefully for the last time) 4 weeks ago. I have to say I've been loving it ever since and really can't see myself going back with all it's advantages and convenience. I figured I'd give a little intro to myself as all my research and inquiries online about e-cigs seem to lead me to the same place ... ECF. You guys don't only seem to have a thriving community but awesome information and help aswell. So i figured i'd go ahead and make an account since I seem to have spent alot of time recently lurking :p.

So, as you can see by my profile I live in Toronto, Canada and am lucky enough to live near a few vendors who carry quality supplies and juice (I'm hoping to get a few more posts soon so I can get the list in the Canada Forums ;D). But anyways, my friend was the first to introduce me to vaping, he originally had an standard eGo then upgraded to a ZMAX. Once he got this device I really began to see the appeal of a PV as it could be filled for all day use, and contain a battery that would do the same. Shortly thereafter I decided to take the leap and make my first trip to set myself up. I ended up getting a starter kit for the eGo T 2200mAh (which came with a case, battery, and charger) aswell as a Vivi Nova and two bottles of e-juice. I honestly didn't know what I was going to buy walking into the store and literally just did a few searches on my phone before I decided the eGo T would suit my needs at the right price point. Initially I was a little dissapointed but quickly found out it was due to the stock coil/wick in my vivi after I upgraded to a Kanger Protank. It now hits like a champ and I run it in unregulated mode which seems to give me the vape i'm looking for (at least until the battery starts to drain). I've come to the realization that this is going to be a long time hobby and as a result I'm currently looking to upgrade my PV aswell as getting into RBA's. Next weekend I'm going to pick up a VAMO aswell as an RBA some more juice and an extra battery and charger.

Just wanted to thank you guys for the informative post/comments you guys make on pretty much every device and topic. Keep up the great work!:vapor:

Welcome to the ECF Nickotine87 - you're right, thriving community that is friendly and offers great advice.

Sounds like you got a good initial setup, and have some local stores you can visit for advice and mods - I wish I had that when I started. Often just having a mentor you can bounce ideas off, or ask for opinions is worth a thousand hours online research.
That's what I use ECF for, staying informed and learning... enjoy the vape.

ETA - The Vamo is a really popular choice as a first upgrade (it was mine too) the prices are really good right now and I don't think you'll be disappointed with it. There is a whole section devoted to the Vamo under the APV section - worth a look for anyone with one or considering one.
