[New vaper & member] My EVOD is making 'burning' sounds.

So guys i started vaping a week or two ago...it was cool and neat.Started with vanilla.Was cool at the beggining liked it a bit.Then I got bored so i purchased 2 more liquids , mango WHICH IS NEAT , and coca cola.So i bought mango and cola 2 days ago , and today as i was vaping , i realised i wasnt tasting mango anymore.I was tasting...nothing...so i read some random stuff on the internet about what would cause that and this and that brushed my teeth drank a ....load of water and stuff.nothing.so i also read itd be cool if i changed the liquid to cola to see if anything happened , because friends of mine have cola and i tried it and it was cool.
so i watched a video where a guy puts out the wick , and washes it.they said i had to wait 2 days to get it dry.so instead bcs i wanted to vape at that time i took a hairdryer and dried it a bit , also one wick got out of its palce and i panicked for a bit i didnt know what to do and i just put it in its place...also the wick isnt old because i know u have to change it when u dont get enough smoke , i bought it together with mango and coca cola.oh i also forgot to tell u i had a bit of mango left inside the tank so i put it out then wash these , fill it with a lot of coca cola , but as i try to put the thing with the wicks inside i think some eliquid might have gone in that thing inside the tanker which i do not know its name . so basically after all of this bla bla and sorry for the HUGE text , (also i left it 5 mins idle before i vaped) it started doing really strange sounds a lot like , somethign was getting burned ...the taste of the smoke was i cant describe it , burny and not good.made my throat feel burned too.idk what to do...anyone that could enlighten me? i will get back in this thread after work to see what you guys have replied and i'll try to asnwer as many questiosn as possible because my english is bad and i might have made some grammar mistakes and theres a chance you wouldnt understand what i was saying

EDIT : I have no idea about ecigs so i might even have confused some words.The liquid fell into the device that vaporizes the e-liquid.not the batterry.and now that i also remembered something else.battery have liquids around it .not a huge amoutn but it has...any idea why is that happening?

Sounds like you might have a touch of "vapers tongue".

I would suggest you get some more coils (wicks/heads) pronto, sounds like you may have burnt the one you have

First your wick likely wasn't dry all the way. What you heard was likely the last of the moisture burning off. Second as for vapors tongue when we first start vaping just about all of us go through it. Some people's last longer that others but I assure you it's not forever. Mine lasted about a month month and half. To get rid of mine I used a chocolateers trick. This works great for some not for others but it worked for me. People who taste chocolates for a living do this to cleanse their palate and bring their taste back. Take freshly ground coffee grounds run very hot water over the grounds then inhale the aroma on and off through out the day. I did this for three days and my taste returned to normal. My husband did it and he still had vapors tongue for about two more weeks so for some it works well, others just have to wait. However it's sure worth a try!! Hope this helps

so umm basically abotu the vapors tongue thanks a lot i think i'll try it.secondly do i have to buy new wicks or not? like would it work if i put them out and dried them?? or what should i do now?

Yes, you need new wicks. Depending on your liquid you may need to change wicks every 2 or 3 days or once a week. You'll know because the taste will change and your vapor will reduce.

You can clean them by soaking in vodka (or something similar) for an hour, rinse with hot water and allow to dry overnight.

All of us experience Vaper's tongue sooner or later, it will pass!

I can't follow all that, but if at some point you were mixing 2 juices, sometimes that reduces flavor -- sometimes merely a mutual dilution effect, but at times it seems more like the flavors "cancel out" if that's possible. Getting a little water in the tank can also cut a lot of flavor. Or maybe the Coca Cola is just weird, if you never tried it before all this happened. Taste is an oddly subjective thing where small differences can make no difference, or way more than you would think.

As to using the device, I'm sure there's a lot of Youtube videos of EVODs and their brothers, Protanks, although over half of them are doing full coil rebuilds, which is more advanced and I wouldn't recommend for you yet, but maybe useful to see.

P.S. A little juice on the battery top is normal, it was that or on your shirt, wipe it out; too much is leakage from wicking fail or needs to be cleared, blow through the clearo into a paper towel etc.. Also possible water has affected electrical contact in the coil unit, or coil has shorted.

thanks a lot guys for the responses . im getting new wick-S- on friday.also a new battery 1300 mah , no it cant do this thing where u change the amount of electricity but its like double my battery so that means proly 2 days without charging.im also gonna talk to the guy at the shop he claims to fix stuff.i hope i havent made the clearomizer entirely useless and that its only the wicks that are burned / fked up.also if i got this one ocrrrectly , these fluids from the battery come from bad vaporizing of the e-liquid or what??
