Ok so I watched a tutorial video on dry burning the Evod 2 SPECIFICALLY! Did all the hot water cleaning and all that. Then in the video the man appears to just lift the wick right on out. Well my wick was actually INSIDE the coil. So I took it out to dry burn the coils. I also washed the wick and patted it dry with a paper towel (like he did in the video). However now, I can't figure out how to get the wick back inside the coil!!! HELLLLLP! Should I have left the wick inside the coils and dry burned with the wick in there? Is this coil now scrapped? Just toss it and start with a new one?

Oh, and if you have any 100% cotton cottonballs around, you can try re-wicking it. Pull some strands out and twist them until they are long-ish. Poke the smaller end through and pull it through, then trim it to the right length. Make a much, much smaller strand, trim it down, then lay it on top the coil. Put your evod back together and try it. It may or may not work how you want it to. If it does, congratulations! You now know how to rewick! (If not, oh well. Try again, or start with a new coil head.)

There is no cotton at all in/on any of the coils. Just 2 coils and what I suppose is silica wicks inside of them.

Interesting. I haven't tried the evod 2, just the original. I guess they probably did away with the "flavor strands" then. If there aren't any laying on top your coils when you take the chimney off, then you don't need to worry about taking any wicks off or out when you dry burn.

How "full" do I want the coils?

Not all that full, since the cotton will expand when it soaks up juice. The cotton should basically fill the coils, but still slide through fairly easily. If you don't have enough in, it might leak, and if you have too much the draw will be tight and you might get dry hits. If you don't put enough in and it leaks, you could probably fix it by making a "flavor wick" to lay on top the coil.

Here's the wick I pulled out. There doesn't seem any way to wrangle it back together [emoji21] oh well, one for the learning curve lol

There is no cotton on stock heads as you said. To dry burn you leave the silica in the coil. You can use q tips but it will taste like cotton for a few hits. Best cotton to use is organic cotton from your local drug store. The wick the fellow lifted out is called the flavor wick. It just lays on top and helps to prevent leaks. Sooooooo....you roll some cotton and thread it through the coil. Snip off both ends. Lay some on top for the flavor wick. Put the chimney back on and drip some juice on the exposed wick. Put the tank back together. Give a few primer hits and vape away.

Organic cotton is best to use, they only use hydrogen peroxide to bleach it lol. Natural or regular cotton the use pesticides and other chemicals so I wouldn't use that to vape with . I still boil and rinse with distilled water for organic cotton if you use regular probably boil and rinse about 4-5 times. You could probably twist all those little strands back up together and get back in your coil ,but would be time consuming .
