New vaper needs advice/has questions on hardware

Thank you guys so much. I'm going to go with the Tornado! I assume any whistle tips that work with the 510 will work with this. Now I just need to figure out what juice & supplies to get. Can't wait to try it!

yep, any 510 gear will be compatible with the tornado. as for juice, now that's another story altogether! i started with only tobacco flavours and now i don't touch them. i am now right into sweet food type flavours. ms. t's has some brilliant flavours, my personal favourite being the vanilla custard. and strictly ejuice ( while getting some bad raps here) are pretty good also, if you prefer to pay a lot less.
it's all going to be trial and error for a few weeks while you settle on a nicotine strength that suits you and try different flavours/suppliers. just try to always keep in mind that vaping is not like smoking. it's heaps better!

So then I can use any 510 atomizer with the Tornado? If so, does it make a difference which I use? I want to get some extra atomizers and would rather order them from a cheaper site like Cignot rather than TW if they will both perform the same.

Keep in mind there is no warranty on their batteries.

This is something to consider before buying from TW. There have been many, many reports of very poor to non-existent customer service.

I'm fairly new to vaping. Spent about two months obtaining/trying out different things/liquids before finding what I truly was happy with. I am now proud to say I've completed my first smoke-free week after 23 years of being a very heavy smoker! I could not have done it without the 510!

That's the key... finding the pv and liquid that works for you. Best of luck!

if you are referring to the recent poster having a big fat hissy fit and making a total jerk of themselves for no good reason, don't bother. i've been buying from TW for some time now and have never had one problem.

No, I'm referring to the multitude of reports that have been posted to the forums lately. Just because you didn't, doesn't mean that others haven't had issues - largely unresolved from the sound of it.

Can anyone answer my last question? Will the eGo/Tornado perform the same if I use 510 atties from Cignot or another place? I don't see why it wouldn't, but I'm a noob so I want to make sure before I order any.

Yes any 510 aty will do. I bought from Tottaly Wicked US. No problems at all with anything.

Yes any 510 atty will work...in fact I'd not buy 5 pack atties from TW ever (heck I won't buy anything from TW ever...buy you want your tornado/eGo now I get that)..

Definitely for extra atties go with cignot...or rocky mountain vapor..
I'd probably go with RMV they're cheaper (still genuine joye parts) and shipping is free over $14..

If you look at totally wickeds site, and try to purchase more atty's the only ones they have are the 510s listed for the titans, so yes, it's the same atty. Or you can try to find one of the low resistance ones, still fairly inexpensive. I love love love my tornado and think i need a couple more attys' so i don't have to keep quick burning off old flavor to switch.

I recommend getting a bottle of Tasty vapors atomic cinnacide as a treat. I can't see how anyone vapes this all day(because it's so potent), but i keep a cart and atty prepped because it's sooo very yummy if you like cinnamon.

As far as having as much vapor as a regular cig, get a juice that has a little VG in it, not a huge mix because it seems to cut back on throat hit, 10% maybe? Massive increase on vapor! I like to also keep a bottle of high strength(24 - 36mg) nicotine, usually only have 1 cart set for that to fight an extra strong cig craving. I probably only use that stuff every 2 days or so, mostly because I don't like the flavor I have at all. I've ordered some more tasty vapor juice, and some small bottles from mrs. T, so we'll see how those go. I saw that adding a drop of vodka to your juice increases throat hit, so i'll be trying that on one of my low strength juices. This habit is starting to seem MORE expensive than smoking!!!!! But the supplies last sooooo much longer.

Please remember that I'm rather new at this as well, so my views are based on my experience with 5 flavors of juice from 2 suppliers, different blends of vg/pg and 2 different ecigs(tornado and volcano) and 2 weeks of trial and error with these things.

I used to smoke around a pack of newports a day. I started with the Tornado and it did not cut it for me so i sold it to a friend of mine who liked it. Do yourself a favor and get a Silver Bullet from altsmoke. It can be used at 3.7v or 6v. You cant go wrong with the Silver Bullet, it is the best unit i have tried thus far and i have tried many, and wasted alot of money on my search. I have not heard a negative review on the Silver Bullet so that says alot. Then get some good juice from Tasty Vapor or a highly spoken of liquid vendor and you are set. Best juice i tried so far is Tast Vapor Atomic Cinnicide.

I can also attest to the horrible customer service at Totally Wicked. My Tornado Kit came with a faulty charger out of the box, luckily i bought a usb charger with it because they did not replace it, nor did they replace the DOA atomizer i purchased, and not to mention that they only shipped half the order but marked it as everything was shipped and checked off the shipping slip saying everthing was in the package but half the order was not, so much for them having to get there packages checked out by a superior before shipping them because they obviously didn't check.

I'm surprised how often I hear people bring up Atomic Cinnicide on this forum. It must really be great! I'll probably have to get some, but what strength? I know this is a personel preference but do you think I should get the highest strength (~48mg) and then get doublers to cut it back?

I didn't order my Tornado yet. I was hoping that Janty would have the eGo back today but no luck with that. I do want to get something ordered within the next 12 hours so the Tornado is still the one to beat, but I will give the Silver Bullet another look. I am kind of hesitent on using a high voltage batteries because I read that they could be problematic and maybe even blow up (crazy, huh?).

I'm now trying to figure out which juices I should get. I think I want to get some samplers and perhaps the stuff to make my own juices. I was looking for a DIY starter kit of some type that would come with just about everything I need (unflavored VG, PG, & nicotine juices). The only thing I could find that came close to this and was in stock was Johnson Creek's "Welcome to E-Smoking" kit which comes with a nice sampler pack and a few tools of the trade, but it doesn't have the liquids I need to make my own juices. Does anyone know of such a DIY starter kit? Also, are there any good guides on mixing your own juices that someone could point me to?
