I'm new too, just started vaping January 25th and just went from an ego to a provari last week. I've found that with the lower ohm wicks, you have to use lower voltage on the provari which keeps the flavor and vapor muted. I've put the higher ohm wicks that I had kept from when I purchased my vivi (the 2.4 or 2.8 ohm wicks) and they rally seem to blow! I don't know how correct this is, but if your atomizer is measuring 2.8, then basically add 2 for your voltage. Although, I tend to stay just under that. So, atty shows 2.8 on your readout screen, so add 2, would be 4.8, right? So then power up/down to say around 4.2 and just try it. If it tastes a little burnt after a couple puffs, go down to 4.1 and so on. At least that's whats working for me. I'm just upset that most of what I have now is all lower ohms. Now with the higher voltage, I won't purchase anything lower than say a 2.4

It's all about Wattage, that is power (heat) that your PV generates. Wattage = Voltage (of your battery) squared divided be the Resistance (Ω) of your atomizer. If you're not good at math, don't worry, your ProVari will do the math for you!

The Wattage you want, especially at the beginning of your vaping career, should be somewhere between 4.5 and 8.5 Watts. Anything lower than 4.5 may not vaporize your juice properly and will not produce enough warmth and vapor. Anything above 8.5 W increases the risk of burning the filler in your cartos (if you're using them) and even some juices, especially the delicate ones.

Generally speaking, tobaccos and coffees require more wattage (heat), while fruit and other delicate flavors do better with less heat.

Experiment and you'll find you own sweet spot in no time!

Good luck!

Good choice! That is a huge jump from a V2 to a Provari. I started at a V2, had a few in between then finally landed on the Provari and to be honest it could be my one and only ecig. It is magnitudes ahead of most other ecigs out there let alone a V2 lol. With your Mini Vivi Nova, you will probably want a higher resistance head, like 2.4 or 2.8. There is even a 3.2 for if you get into higher voltage vaping.

You'll know you have the right atomizer head on, for a few reasons: 1 - the Provari flashes an error code at you if the resistance is too low for the voltage you have it set on. 2 - the juice doesn't taste right. For example, I was vaping a chocolate today at 5.0 (chocolates vape at a higher voltage), then swapped to a blueberry lemonade without changing the voltage. The lemon in the ejuice felt like it was BURNING my tongue! I dialed back the voltage to 3.6 and it tasted like sweet blueberries again.

When you have an idea of your target wattage, you will choose your resistance atomizer head, and set the voltage to match and equal the target.

As per the posters above, it's the wattage that determines the sweet spot for a juice. But you don't have to sit and calculate Ohm's Law, you can use the chart, and you will also get familiar with the Provari as you use it. Again, be sure to check the Atomizer read out often, and set the voltage accordingly. The actual resistance won't always be what is printed on the head. Once you are more experienced, when you jump from the Vivi to an RBA the Provari will really blow your mind. I am blowing out PLUMES of vapor right now on mine with a Cobra; I build the wick myself from ss mesh and wire, and tweak the resistance as I wish.

Fruits = lower wattage
Chocolates, tobaccos = higher wattage
