And let me tell you what, I was pretty disappointed to find that Premium (brand) was the only place that sold replacement anything for my rig. But then I found out this is actually just a KR808D-1 battery with their name on it, so I have a world of options at my fingertips. Not so disappointed anymore.
I'll post this in the "vaping at work" thread once my post count gets there, but a buddy of mine got me interested. We're USCG stationed on board a cutter, and when I first met him he had just switched. He was nervous at first doing it inside, having no idea how our command would react. But after explaining to me what was going on, I told him we weren't allowed to use tobacco products inside the skin of the ship. No tobacco, no restriction. He started dumping huge plumes in our workspace which is kept about 55deg due to all the electronics gear - I guess cold air helps keep those plumes together for longer just like breath. After a couple days of first-time witnesses flipping out and being chastised by the truth, it became quite common to see a random cloud in there, or catch a blast of whatever flavor he had just vaped. During drills he was all dressed out in firefighting gear - you'd see him pop the regulator off the SCBA facepiece and fist a big drag, although it would pretty much stay trapped in the mask. Quite funny the first time he tried it. After one rather lengthy drill he popped back into the shop staring at us with a smile. Upon questioning, he revealed that as soon as he walked in, he realized he wasn't sucking wind and dripping with sweat after running all over the place in full gear. That pretty much sealed the deal for me.
At his suggestion I went to the local mall kiosk (don't laugh too hard at the n00b) and walked out with one battery, PCC and 7 cartos for about $90. I blazed the entire way home, happy as a lark (wife and 3 kids obviously unaffected by the haze) and googled some ecig resources up. I quickly determined this was the place to come for...everything. About 10 minutes into the forums I felt like this:
. That's all I'm going to say about that...damn, got something in my eye again. I'm going to give him quite a thumping when I see him again, and steer him in the right direction.
There's some high quality cartos and hopefully decent juice on the way already. The resources available here have helped me turn my loss around ALOT with mod ideas and such. I think you'll be seeing plenty of this guy around here. Thanks for having me.
