My mother-in-law's cardiologist suggested vaping for smoking cessation. She has been analog-free for over 3 months now. She, in turn, got my brother-in-law started. He claims he is analog-free, however my wife tells me she has been slipping him a few analogs, here and there. My wife is wavering back and forth, but I believe she will eventually see the light, as it were. Anyhow, he got me started. I got the guy across the street started, plus a 3-4 people at work. Hopefully, it will continue.
I had a checkup with my doctor today and spoke with him about e-cigs. He was very non-committal, but happy about me not smoking.
The bottom-line is: My mother-in-law's cardiologist's suggestion has brought at least a half dozen to vaping in a matter of 3 months. I believe more docs need to get educated. I realize this is relatively new, but I also believe if they really considered all of the alternatives, they would come to the correct conclusions!
I have had similar experiences with my friends and neighbors. Everyone is catching on. Sadly, I'm afraid the doctors have a conflict of interest, as they cannot make money off ecigs like they can the chantex, etc.
