Hi to all... I'm pretty new to vaping, my anti-smoking husband got me a starter kit for xmas and I have been going back and forth between digital & analog ever since, not really wanting to give up the cancer sticks so far.
Recently I started feeling like if I just got more committed to vaping then I could def see myself quitting smoking soon.

My problem is that I really need some good advice about a supplier and a type of e-cig that will work better than what I've currently got.

I have an elite from Revolver. I don't really know what type of battery it has, just that it's automatic.

I have been buying blank cartridges and filling them with liquids, this works well for me.

This is all fine, but I am getting dissatisfied with customer service and problems ordering supplies.

Also, after about four months of vaping inconsistently (a week on, a week off), the batteries barely hold a charge, is this normal?

What I like so far is that I have a pcc, 2 batteries, and 2 attys. I charge one battery while I vape with the other, and I charge the pcc every few days. I have one atty for fruit flavors and one for coffee/tobacco/ry-4 flavors... the attys seem to keep the flavor I was last using so I really wanted to have a few more so I don't have to mix flavors, but that is a challenge bc they have been out of stock & they won't tell me when they will get more!

Sorry if I am going on a bit! It's all so overwhelming compared to goin to the gas station and paying through the nose for a pack of American Spirits :(

What I really am looking for from anyone who would be kind enough to give me a few pointers is a suggestion for another supplier and type of e-cig where the battery will last longer (I like to do marathon vapes like while watching movies/reading), that I can refill the cartridges (or cartomizers? what's the difference? which is better?) and will be really pretty simple to use, like the revolver elite has been so far.

Any suggestions or thoughts would be so appreciated! Thanks!

more than likely you will get lots of recommendations to get a riva from libertyflights dom com, and that is a very stellar unit (i have one myself), will give you 3 or 4 times the battery on a single charge. load that baby up with boge cartomizers and you are in business. the riva will cost you about 30 bucks, add another 10 for those cartomizers and bang... your good for a month.
i personally like the cartomizers much better than cartridges because they hold at least twice the amount of liquid..and very simple to use...oh and you get more vapor out of that combo, compared to your unit. :)

Elite looks like a 510. 510 is one of the 2 most popular slim ecigs but its battery life is short.

My opinion
Cartomizers are better than carts. I never use 510 carts ever.

Manual batteries are better than auto batteries
Auto batteries are more prone to being damaged or killed by juice leaks of the type you would get from cartomizers
Dripping, a popular way to test juices and how some people vape is not recommended on auto batteries

Ways to get better
1. For longer battery charge, Joye mega xl manual batteries for 60% more charge life, 128mm long w/ a carto, Only PCC is a metal one without much room.
2. KR808D-1, a dedicated 2-piece (cartomizer) model, standard battery is 280mah (same life as Joye Mega xl) and again I recommend manual. Only PCC is a flat metal one without much room.
3. Fat battery 510 models like Ego and Riva 510 for MUCH longer charge life and ability to use hotter harder hitting low resistance parts

What I carry (haha)
510 manual and spare battery using Boge standard resistance cartos and a nice roomy PCC from NoSMokeVA.com
KR808D-1 manual and spare battery using Vapor4Life cartos
Riva 750mah battery which even with standard 510 cartos gives a warmer hit

Well, I have to admit that it took me about 6 months trying different kinds of E-cigs with different kinds of attomizers and juices to find one that worked for me. With this industry being brand new there are bound to be some hang ups and problems, just hang in there! I bought my mom an eGo kit, and she still smokes, she can't get used to it, and she says the same thing "if only I were more commited"

I am completely convinced that it has nothing to do with your level of committment, it is finding the right kind of vapor production paired with the level of fussing you have to give the unit. My mom doesn't want to be bothered by topping off cartridges and dealing with battery charging, she wants to light the end of something with a lighter and go.

Conversely, I am in search for that perfect smoke, that every once in a while time where you light the cig and it tastes perfect and hits the spot, or fire up the attomizer and get that perfect hit. So I drip, and fuss and charge my heart out. I swore off the 510 attomizers because I could never get them to be consistent.

You're on the right track though, keep at it!

if your looking for a more traditional cigarette looking model (which after a few weeks of dedicated vaping you will overcome) i personally recommend a kr808d model which i got mine from V4L, but i recently upgraded to an ego which i am fond of.

any of the recommendations here are probably a good bet, but it all depends on you. everyone has different preferences and every model has pros and cons, we can point you in the right direction but its really up to you to sort out the choices and pick for yourself. Happy Vaping =P

Lots of good advice here. If you're not put off by the looks, you might look at the rough stack from mad vapes. It consistently gets good reviews and battery replacement is a lot cheaper than the e-cig batteries.

Great prices on those for sure...I came really close to getting one of those and still might do it :)

I am also new to vaping, but i can recommend the KR808D from vapor4life.com which is known on their site as the Vapor King. Get one of the starter kits using cartomizers and the easy 2 piece design is great. The standard batteries go about 4-6 hours and you can upgrade to the XLs if you don't mind the size increase. Overall a solid PV :) Good luck and don't give up k?

i dont think you could ever have convinced me to get something that looked like a rough stack, much less a reo, when i was a beginner looking at e-cigs. ive only been at it for couple of months and i still cant see myself holding them things in my hand... much less in public.

I hear ya mn, the pictures do make them look more gaudy than they really are tho'....
If you can actually pick one up...even the 18650 based ones....they aren't much bigger than a cigar.

Don't want it all shiny and glitzy? Cover it with a skin, or a couple runs of what ever color tape you want.

They do them in traditional pipe shapes as well...

Thanks to all for the kindness & good advice! I decided to order the mega t-rex... I love the idea of bein able to vape for more than 30 mins at a time without switching batteries & getting tons of vapor. I think I can deal with the bigger size at this point.

Also thanks to getting on this forum... I am smoke free for 48 hours! Yay! :)
