Hi Everyone,
I'd just like to have a little back story first. I'm a 19 year old who had up until about 10 days ago been smoking 'lightly' for around 3 years. I would generally smoke 5-10 cigarettes per day. I would often go periods of time without smoking, say if I had a cold for example, I would simply not smoke as I never found it comfy on a sore throat.
Therefore I decided my addiction was more with the act of smoking than with the nicotine. I tried to stop smoking a few times. When I would try to stop 'on purpose' rather than due to being ill or similar, I would fail to go more than two weeks, generally. I would decide, 'I'll stop later', or, 'does it really matter?' all the usual stories!
Recently, (starting a few months ago), I began having heart palpitations on occasion and frequently periods of what felt like an irregular heart rate. After seeing a doctor, he reassured me the likelihood of it being the smoking is exceptionally small, since generally (he claims) that he wouldn't even think about smoking for serious health issues under 5 years of smoking.
I hope this is vaguely clear, it could be quite a ramble. I'm not unhealthy otherwise, I walk a brisk 25miles per week and eat well, (for the most part). I don't drink excessively and am not overweight, so these cardiovascular issues really scared me. They made me realise that even if these aren't smoking related smoking will only worsen things and it will happen eventually.
I'd always known about PVs for a long while, way back when they were all very large and stuff, and liked the idea, although never tried as they were so expensive. I decided to pick up an (m402) Intellicig and use this as a way to put me off buying 'analogs' as you call them!
Today is my first day with it, and I'm enjoying it, the vapour is very much familiar to me as smoke. I'm smoking mainly zero-nicotine as I just like to perform the act of smoking, etc, I don't want to further an addiction, but for the first time in a while tomorrow I'll be able to get up and get a 'smokey' hit of nicotine which I'll be very happy with, no doubt!
Anyway, my only dislike at the moment is the flavour. These carts, zero-nic and low-nic all taste rather unpleasant. It tastes to me like the smell of a smoke machine in a theatre or nightclub, not really an ideal taste, to me at least. I have to admit to adoring the smell and taste of cigarettes, it was one of my favourite aspects, the tastes, (this may sound absurd, but I really do). I was wondering if, firstly, the 'ecopure' is supposed to taste like cigarettes, and that my PV is working correctly, but also what recommendations anyone has for a more cigarette like flavour?
I have ordered a couple of fun flavours from freedom2vape, which may arrive tomorrow, we'll see, whisky and cola for example. I also ordered their 'Camel' flavour eliquid, (I used to smoke Camels quite a lot), but I cannot imagine the flavour being there. Anyone's views on this would be great
Anyway, sorry for the long rambly post, but, I hope you can get what I'm going on about, and I look forward to a future of vaping not smoking!
