New Vap'er

I ordered a 510 with a Mega Battery and have been vaping for a few weeks. Gotta say I love not having to go outside of my apartment anymore. Going to love it even more come winter time! I burnt out two atomizers pretty quickly and started getting nic withdrawals while waiting for new ones and went back to normal cigs. Gotta say they tasted like crap =P

Sadly one of my batteries has gone bad, lights up but wont power an atomizer or charge. Can a bad Atomizer (or me using it too much and heating it up) ruin a battery? Maybe getting too hot melts soldier in the battery connector?

Welcome to the forum! It sounds like you are getting it pretty hot, but I'm not sure if you could get it hot enough to ruin a battery. Do you have a tester that you could use to see if there is voltage when the button is pressed. It is possible that the center post of the battery got puched in too far and is not making a good connection. Also, make sure the contacts are clean.

Manual batteries. I have a multi meter but havent been able to figure out how to use it =P I put it on Voltage but I don't get a reading even on my good battery.

You need to put it on DC volts 20 setting if it has that setting. If not you need to put it on the dc setting.

sorry for double post, set it to 50 and got a small reading from my "good" battery but no reading from the bad battery

you need to make the financial investment... just dive right in and buy a bunch of batteries, atties, etc... so you don't have to fill in with those nasty cigs.

I bought a bunch of back up everything just in case...

lol guess thats why I won't "break even" for over 100 days.

Sounds like you have a bad battery. Depending on how old and where you got it, you might be able to get a replacement. They should last longer than a few months, but it may just be time to dispose of it.

That sucks =P Of the two I got with my kit that was the one with the better button =( Ahh well, I'll be buying some new ones soon, I bought 4 replacements for the Atomizers so I'll be getting some back up batteries!

I've been looking into a USB pass-through as well since I use it most by my computer or in my car.

I have a 510 as well and was curious how long the mega batteries last versus the standard ones. The PCC I have helps but I still have to battery swap on a constant :3

I do pretty well with my Mega battery. I use it heavy when I'm driving in to work (Takes about 30-40 min) then heavy on my hour lunch break. Its usually done at the end of lunch and I charge it up till my next break. So about two hours of heavy use between charges.
