Hey all
so my wife and started vaping to help quit smoking. We picked up a starter kit made by haus. After one day of use my wife's has started leaking, she gets juice upup into her mouth. I read that the iclear 16 will fit to the battery we already own. Should I pick up a iclear or am I wasting money on them? My other question is how do I clean the mouth piece, for when I want to change juices? Thanks for the help

Welcome to ECF:) I'm going off the link Susan-S shared.... It looks like that's a 510/ego battery. If I was going to recommend a tank for this kind of battery I would say either a mini Portank 2 or the regular Protank 2, either or with a 1.8 Ohm coil. The problem I had early on with the kinds of tank this kit comes with were similar to yours, juice or condensation building up and getting in my mouth. I wont say is not possible with the Protanks, but it's very rare from my experience.

I had something similar to start. What kind of juice was she using? I would highly suggest another tank. I have both the Aspire BDC and also the Kanger Mini Protank 3 and can recommend both. I don't have an iclear, but do have other innokin products, and I love them, and i have read good things about that tank. Welcome to ECF :)

We got some haus juice to go with it. I won't be getting this juice again. I believe it's liquid coming up, as I used hers earlier and my mouth went numb from the juice. I just checked out the protanks which I will probably pick up seeing they seem to be suggested. I just threw out the iclear as it was the only thing I knew that would work with my battery. There is so much info it hard to know where to start lol

Thanks for the help

I know the feeling paine1031, both the numb mouthed nic feeling and overwhelming/daunting feeling when looking at all the different options available. The good news is they both dissipate with time.... lol, too a point. I think the Protank coils are one of the most reliable I've used, I do like the Aspire products, but in my experience the coils are kind of hit or miss. As for liquid, I DIY my own, but when I order supplies I always order sample sizes to try.... https://www.myfreedomsmokes.com/ They have all been good with the exception of beer flavored eliquid  LOL.

Welcome to the forum and the wacky world of vaping, paine1031. It IS a lot to take in at first. I have to say that these starter kits are one of the biggest deterrents to vaping that I know of. Well, next to an uninformed media. I would suggest finding a decent brick and mortar vapor store in your area. If you know of someone that vapes, or meet someone, ask them where they shop. Chances are they will be MORE that willing to talk to you about it. Seeing merchandise in person and talking to an experienced person one-on-one can really help. Picking up something at the supermarket or gas station is NOT the way to start.

Although there are exceptions in vaping supplies, as in everything else, you usually get what you are paying for. Spend a little extra (between $70 and $100) and get something you can adjust and set to YOUR liking. This sounds like a lot of money but believe me, this is CHEAP compared to smoking. Even $100 is probably less that two cartons of cigs where you live.

No two people want/like/need the same thing when it comes to vaping (or smoking, for that matter). That is why there are so many brands and thousands of juice flavors.

Getting a mod where you can adjust the wattage or voltage helps. You may find your "needs" vary at different times of the day. Also, in your first few weeks, as you learn the ropes a bit, you will zero in on the settings that work for you.

Start with an ego tank, an inexpensive clearomizer or cartomizer tank. These have cheap, replaceable cartridges. They usually last a few weeks and only cost 1 to 3 dollars.

Try 100 different juices until you find flavors that satisfy you. If you are like many beginning vapers, you may start with tobacco flavors at first. I did for the first 9 months. But don't be afraid to try something else.

Lastly, get a nicotine level that equates to your smoking habits. I started high (24mg) which was actually too high. I got 16mg the next time and stayed there for a while before cutting down again.

You crossed a threshold and took the first step. You bought something and tried it. That is the hardest step. Take another step and go to a good vaping store that can help you find something that will really work for you.

Thanks for the info. I will check out my local store I went in last week, he had some starter packs for around $80. At the time I didn't have that much to put down, I also will change my juice. Right now it's a 24mg one which it just to much for me. Thank you all for the info
